I finally picked up the issue today.
No way is Toad Mystique. The way Toad used his tounge, Mystique cannot do that.

You never know... Kirkman HAS acknowledged the fact that Toad is still locked up. Remember Magician made illusions of Brotherhood members?

I agree. Toad = Mystique is stupid and completely and totally underminds the multiple dynamics of the character. Toad can be more complex than just a brotherhood mutant and should be.

Maybe he's on probation?
Besides, it underminds the character and it would be a bad move after the last time we saw Toad he was just made up.
And dude that said "no more fishlips" I'd rather have the fish lips back then see this terrible art.
