I'm counting Calvin and Hobbes together not because I think they're really just one mind or anything, but because their characters are so defined by their dynamic. That said, Calvin on his own would still probably be #1.

The only reason none of the Stella trio is one here is because they're so unstable and off-the-wall that they can't really be pinned down as actual characters.

Okay, after much thought and debate:

25. Robin (Please don't shoot me, Planet-Man. Robin basically made Batman a game that both me and my younger brother could play. Besides, both BTAS' Robin and Batman Forever's Robin are pretty cool. In his finest moments, Robin doesn't take away from the coolness of the story, he only takes away from the realism.)

24. George Bailey (Atta' boy, Clarence!)

22. Zack Morris (Such an prominent personality and inspiration to my overall personality during my pre-teen years, it would be a crime not to include him.)

21. Stanley Hudson (Simply the funniest of the 'real' characters on The Office.)

19. The Shadow (Beating Zorro and Flash Gordon into this spot. This guy has fast become one of my favourite fictional crimefighters and the influence he had on Batman is pretty staggering.)
