Link WAS hardcore. The only thing I didn't like was his use of projectiles. I mean I get it, but no one else in the game has that and that's kinda the unfair edge. Even soul calibur 4 doesn't come as close to the awesomness of part 2. THe only thing I think giving it the edge is character creation. I even feel the gaunlet tower thing a bit ridiculous and redundant. I just want to fight.
