The Miyagi-verse (Karate Kid/Cobra Kai) Timeline

I'm not quite sure what you are saying here. Legends officially connects 2010's reboot film to the universe. The shrine does connect TAS with the overall universe but not officially and the writers and producers of CK already said that. You can include the shrine but invent a different story surrounding it.
i'm saying that CK showrunners do not control the franchise and altho they said TKK 2010 is not canon Sony greenlight a film which acts as sequel to CK and the 2010 film and the CK people weren't even involved

Right. I get that. But it's canon-by-proxy. It isn't in a separate universe. Whether or not the CK showrunners are involved is irrelevant.

Are you talking about The Karate Kid (2010) or the animated series? If we agree it's canon, it's the same universe. If we don't, it's in an alternate universe that continues after the third film.

I mean, here's what I see. Cobra Kai is in the same universe as the films. The films are in the same universe as the animated series. Cobra Kai references the animated series and doesn't contradict it in any way.

So, canon-by-proxy also applies to the animated series, only backwards. It just depends on how strongly you subscribe to the showrunner's comment. I feel that it's cleaner if there's only one Karate Kid universe. The 2010 film for example is canon, but it had absolutely no connection to the films before the new one. The animated series, meanwhile, is a direct continuation AND has a tie to the new show.

I see this as similar to James Gunn saying Agent Carter, Daredevil, and I am Groot aren't canon to the MCU. Just me though. I would like to see it added, even if you decide to place it in an alternate continuity.

I am saying the 2010 film is canon to CK and all the films via 2025's retcon. I am just torn on the Animated Series because it's so ridiculous. If I had to place the Animated Series, it's gotta be late 1989 to mid 1990, four years after the events of The Karate Kid III.

Wow, Gunn said those weren't canon to the MCU? That's opposite of what MCU's handlers have said. And there are major connections between them...but that's a whole other ballgame.

I get that. Lots of things share the same universe with ridiculous things though. I don't see anything wrong with magic being part of this universe and never being brought up again. Heck, I'd be the first to argue that Slippin' Jimmy is absolutely Breaking Bad canon because it's official and doesn't contradict despite being, honestly, far more ridiculous than The Karate Kid animated series.
