Also, most of America's Best Comics came out this year. That means Alan Moore is definitely on the list.

The back-ups in Web of Spider-Man featuring Aunt May and JJJS on their extended honeymoon, lots of not veiled at all sexual references about octigenarians there. Seriously it is wretch inducing

I can see what you mean, but JMS wrote Thor, easily one of the best runs in recent Marvel history. Coupled with a run on ASM that if you excise OMD and Sins Past is easily one of the better long term runs on the title. Coupled with his great Supreme Power stuff, his fairly decent turn on Fantastic Four, his new stuff with DC. I'd say he easily deserves to be in the bottom half of the list, probably exactly where he was in the wizard list.

I liked Identity Crisis (that scene with Batman and Robin racing to Tim's dad's house is heartbreaking) and Trouble was fun if a bit... unsettling.

The rest are either mediocre or terrible though. Great list.

Not just hilarious, but kind of moving. It's really been another epic decade of comics, for better and worse.

I would remove Loeb, JMS, Jenkins and Meltzer and replace them with BKV, Ennis, Ellis and Kirkman.

And I would put Quitely, JHW3, Jae Lee and JG Jones on the artists list somehow.

I agree with the BKV, Ennis, Ellis and Kirkman.

Especially with Loeb vs. Kirkman. I mean come on! What has Loeb done in the past decade that can hold a candle to Kirkman's Walking Dead? Hell....even his Invincible? His Long Halloween? No. Superman/Batman? Enjoyable comic fun...but no.

I don't know. On one hand JMS has some great stuff...but it seems like for every hit he has, he's got a disaster as well. Like the article said, you can have a stellar run on Amazing Spider-Man.....but when you give us stuff like One More Day and Sins Past....that tends to tarnish your run.

His Fantastic Four isn't great. But his Thor is. So you kinda even out there.

That's not to say that JMS is a horrible writer and not deserving of any praise. But, personally, I just think there's been better writers out there.

I think the creators of the list are operating under the premise of "the less we talk about it, the better.......and maybe we can just pretend it didn't happen."
