You complained the whole time!
And you didn't even see one of them, you were outside during it.
Please the complaining was only because I liked it so much that I couldn't let it know I liked it. Pass it on.

Do we really need this again?:
Yep. And I don't has teh bl00-rayz.
Supergirl would be a flop.
If they did the movie right it wouldn't
I'm sick of this line, how often do they do a movie right? Anything can be great if done right, that's a given. But the likely hood of it being "done right" is zero
Actually the likely hood would depend on who was doing it. You look at the title and say no chance of been good but isn't that a bit ignorant? SuperGirl has comic fans this is a given or her comics wouldn't sell.
So really what makes "the likely hood of it being "done right" is zero"? Is it because you yourself don't want to see it? Because that would be a little stupid to think like that.
Is it the fact it had a bad movie before? Because so did Spider-man , Batman and many more.
Is it the fact the lead would be a female? If so sexist
Is it because I said it?
Really I'm just wondering. Not trying to be an arse or anything just have a curiosity. The fact is Supergirl could work as movie and work well with the right person for example let's say warner brothers and DC got Joss Whedon to do it. Tell me "Joss Whedon's Supergirl" would have zero chance of been good.
Supergirl had its chance in the original. It failed, utterly.

Going by that, Batman had it's chance with batman and robin but failed so Batman begins never should have happened. You see my point?
You probably haven't read many Supergirl stories.
She's a great character and I would see a new movie about her.
But Batman actually has stories to pull from in the comics. I can't think of one Supergirl story that has any merit. And like Random said, she's a rehash of a much, much, much, much better character.
A teenage girl with super powers and a secret ID could be a really fun movie. It might not be marketed towards us, but it could still be good.
That would be good, but having the character be a superman rehash wouldn't work. That's all I'm saying
Supergirl isn't really a Superman rehash. She has a lot more in common with Superboy, only in "modern" times and with a different gender, which is a bigger difference than you might suspect.
Plus, not only was she orphaned when her planet exploded, but she spent most of her career in an orphanage around other orphaned girls. It's an interesting dynamic, and she's only getting crapped on by people that don't know anything about her.
An alien from a dying planet is sent to Earth on a space ship, has super strength flight, etc. and wears a red "s" on her chest with primary colors... yep that's really different
That's superficial stuff and you know it. It has nothing to do with what the character is about.
