I can't believe Megan Fox is producing and starring in the Fathom movie. Michael Turner would be ashamed.

I think his reaction would be the complete opposite.

He was known for drawing hot, scantily-clad women, but I'd like to think that he would want to see a more talented person filling the role of his most famous character. Fathom was his most personal project and to see it under the helm of someone like Megan Fox is kind of sad.

No, seriously, this is absolutely Turner's dream. I'm only sad that he didn't live long enough to see it

Are you being sarcastic, or....?

He wanted Megan Fox to play Aspen Matthews?

Sounds about right to me. I'm not sure if he was specifically pursuing Megan Fox, but (and don't get me wrong, I never met the guy) he wrote a comic about a hot, scantily clad action chick, and Megan Fox seems just about perfect for that. There's nothing wrong with that.

I mean, I don't expect to see Judi Dench in the role.

It's okay if you get someone who looks the part but at least get someone who can act the part too. There are plenty of attractive actresses out there who can act. Megan Fox isn't one of them (I don't even think Megan Fox is hot).

How intensive of a role is it, really?

http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/notyetamovie/news/?a=6747 According to this, Turner was "100% for her [Fox]".

Megan Fox can't act in the simplest roles. Her performances are laughable.

Have you read Fathom? The whole story and dialog are laughable at best.

So, according to Comics Alliance, NICK MOTHER****ING CAVE IS WRITING A SCRIPT FOR A CROW MOVIE!

But, do you know what's possibly more incredible....?

CA said:
The material is a perfect match for Cave, who is known primarily as the singer of dark and clever lyrics with his band the Bad Seeds, and whose film work includes ... an unfilmed script for a sequel to "Gladiator," written at the behest of Russell Crowe, which begins with Crowe's Maximus being raised from the dead, and then travels through centuries, including a sequence in the Vietnam War, and ending in a men's room at the Pentagon.
