All Hallows Eve 2 Synopsis

A woman finds a VHS tape on her doorstep that shows a series of gruesome tales that could be real. But the true danger is the pumpkin-faced killer.

Spoiler: Timeline Reasoning

Descent is placed in its release year. It was featured in All Hallows' Eve 2.

Jack Attack takes place on Tuesday, October 31st. Backtracking from the release date of 2013, this takes us to 2006. It was featured in All Hallows' Eve 2.

The 9th Circle appears to be set on October 31st. This is the first appearance of Art the Clown. It was featured in All Hallows' Eve.

Terrifier (2011) is set in the early morning of October 31st. It was featured in All Hallows' Eve.

The Offering is placed in its release year. It was featured in All Hallows' Eve 2.

All Hallows' Eve is set on October 31st. I've placed it in it's release year. The 9th Circle in this film is an extended version with additional scenes. Unlike the other All Hallows' Eve shorts, the in-universe films appear to be supernaturally recorded snuff films depicting Art and his associates killing people. The "Something in the Dark" segment is placed in 2010 as it's chronologically placed "The 9th Circle" and "Terrifer" segments in regards to the order Sarah watches the shorts.

The Last Halloween apparently depicts an apocalyptic scenario, hence the title. However, since the events of this short were recorded before All Hallows Eve 2, it can be assumed it takes place in its release year of 2014 and the events are isolated.

All Hallows' Eve 2, like the previous installment, is set on October 31st. Unlike the previous film, the wraparound segments have no connection to the shorts featured, which are pre-existing films not made to be part of a shared continuity with one another. Based on this, I speculate that the Trickster is an Art the Clown copycat using the same MO with VHS tapes.

Terrifer (2016) takes place one year before Terrifier 2, beginning on October 31st and quickly going into November 1st, the latter of which is incorrectly labelled a Friday. The intro and ending are set during Terrifier 2.

Terrifier 2 is set on October 30th to October 31st. This film places the previous in 2017 and is one year later, thus 2018.

In Bupkis 1x02, "Do as I Say, Not as I Do", Pete Davidson is said to be 29, which would place it after November 16th, 2022. It is assumed he was rounding up due to evidence in the next episode. The flashbacks are directly dated September 28th, 2001.

In Bupkis 1x03, "Picture", there is a Sunday, October 2nd date, which matches 2022. The next time there's a day in the episode, it's Thursday, therefore October 6th. The rest of the series is consistent in Pete's age being 29.

Bupkis 1x06, "ISO" is placed around Christmas.

Bupkis 1x07, "Borgnine" is placed on January 5th to January 6th due to Pete Davidson's calendar in the next episode placing the start of his rehab on January 7th.

In Bupkis 1x08, "Show Me the Way", after Pete Davidson starts hallucinating during rehab, he sees Art among other celebrities, once again played by David Howard Thornton. It can be assumed that, just like in Terrifier 2, Art can appear in people's minds. Pete's calendar places the present day on January 11th and his sister's graduation on January 13th.

All Hallows' Eve: Trickster, like the previous installment, is set on Halloween and consists primarily of in-universe fictional shorts. The ending appears to possibly feature Satan, tying back to The 9th Circle.

Terrifier 3 is set five years after Terrifier 2, with Art apparently hibernating in the attic in what appears to be a callback to Black Christmas. This film is set in December a few days before Christmas Eve. Sienna's diary has the date "Thursday, December 21st", which matches 2023 and supports the established series timeline overall.

Ice Nine Kills' A Work of Art is a music video set in the Terrifier universe. It has to be set following Terrifier 3 due to Art being inactive between movies. It is snowing in the short, indicating it's winter time, possibly January or February. A news report states "police are looking for a man matching the description of the Miles County Clown, who's wanted in connection with a series of brutal slaying in 2017 and 18", thus reinforcing those placements for the first two Terrifier installments.

My head-canon for All Hallows' Eve 2 is that the Pumpkin killer in the wraparound segments is an Art the Clown copycat using the same MO with the VHS tape short films.

All Hallows Eve: Trickster seems to end with an appearance from Satan, which can be tied back to The 9th Circle short film. I have yet to see the fourth All Hallows Eve film but I'm expecting it to be mid, just like 2 and 3. They're honestly just cheap cash grabs trying to profit from the success of the Terrifier movies except without Art the Clown... but y'know, they're official sequels regardless so gotta add them.

I think he was just born a few months earlier in this universe actually. The October, December and January placements fit together perfectly and he's still referred to as 29 throughout the whole series, even in episode 3.

There's no in-universe framework to make them canon.

In All Hallows' Eve, Art and the alien are part of the real world setting of the film. It's all one story and the tapes are all about Art.

In All Hallows' Eve 2-4, there's no connections between the shorts or the wraparound segments. They're just horror shorts the protagonist is watching. They're also pre-existing shorts that were not made to be part of a shared universe with one another, unlike in All Hallows' Eve where every short was always supposed to be connected.

Should note that the V/H/S/85 segment "Dreamkill" makes The Black Phone canon to the franchise, since Gunther is the cousin of Gwen and Finney.

There's no in-universe framework to make them canon.

In All Hallows' Eve, Art and the alien are part of the real world setting of the film. It's all one story and the tapes are all about Art.

In All Hallows' Eve 2-4, there's no connections between the shorts or the wraparound segments. They're just horror shorts the protagonist is watching. They're also pre-existing shorts that were not made to be part of a shared universe with one another, unlike in All Hallows' Eve where every short was always supposed to be connected.

I suppose I could always ignore that though, track down every short film, interpret it all as supernatural recordings, and make everyone following watch the shorts twice. That's an option too, good for torturing chronological watchers by making them essentially watch every short twice.

Oh yeah, BTW @Pro Bot, but is there any chance you could potentially do a Timeline for the V/H/S franchise?

Should note that the V/H/S/85 segment "Dreamkill" makes The Black Phone canon to the franchise, since Gunther is the cousin of Gwen and Finney.

It would be a cool timeline.

i know they have, the thing is I have seen only V/H/S and The Black Phone. So can't say unfortunately. a watch through is needed.

Ah. If it helps, the "God of Death" segment in V/H/S/85 is set on September 19th, during the Mexico City earthquake.
