ooh, i get it. i thought he had wanted her to say something else, like "you'll never get away with this", and the "wrong!" meant she had mentioned superman, which was the wrong thing. he wanted her to bring up superman so he could purposefully pull the "wrong". right?

Hit the nail on the head there, mate.

So...

Let me just get some of the bad stuff out of the way. The kid was cute as hell and welcomed but what the hell are they gonna do with him in the sequels? I think this was a risky move.

I thought there was an inconsistancy with how Kryponite affected Superman.

The ****in' dog ate the other dog.... for what purpose? Seriously, why was that added into the movie?

I thought the retconning to ignore III and IV was because they were considered "bad". I don't like how they muscled the last two installments out just so they can use the kid.

Finally the overall feeling afterwords was sort've like, it was good but should've been much better.

The good stuff?

What wasn't too like.

I think Bosworth could've been a little pushier for Lois but she was still good and other than that the cast was P-E-R-F-E-C-T. Spacey, Routh, Huntington, the lil kid, Mardensen, whoever... all of them were great.

The action scenes almost brought a tear to my eye.

The personal emotional moments did bring a tear to my eye.

There was a lot of beauty in this film.

So overall. I liked it muchly but it lacked a few things here and there. I'm looking forward to the sequels but also fearing them because of the kid, who I adore so much.. so I'm torn about that.

I felt like it should've been bigger but maybe I'm just overhyped about it all.

Good Movie, much much much better than X3, and a good start to what should be one of the best comic movie franchises (not better than Batman Begins though).

3.5/5 but I'll round up.

I think you expanded on everything I wanted to say. This must be one of the first times I've agreed with you.

It was a great movie, but I too felt it was lacking something. I'm scared about the next one, too. What are they going to do with the kid?

Well they were REALLY bad. But they could still fit it in, just say both took place within a month or something. But Singer probably didnt want to reference them or had to deal with world wide nuclear disarmorment or Lana Lang working at the Daily Budgle.

And the dogs showed how cruel Luthor is, he swindle a dying woman out of her money than just leaves the place until he needs it, and I found it funny.

Your right about that kid thing it will be difficult to write a sequel around it, I hope next one focus' more on Clark the person nand creating a better relationship between Clark and Lois, they should be pretty good friends I think

Honestly, I hope they kill it.

For some reason, I'm sure I read that Luthor killed the kid in this one.

...

Anyway, it would be kinda cool to see someone like Brainiac infect the kid with a virus... causing Superman to go really mad...

Everyone did. It's a gigantic goddam plot hole.

No one agrees with you more than me on that one. This movie is supposed to introduce little kids to Superman, not traumatize them!:?

The dog thing was just funny. You're really not supposed to read that much into it. It meant about as much Luthor rolling his Rs in Kryptonite.

The kryptonite island thing didn't bother me that much. I looked at it the same as Moony. Supes "supercharged" himself right quick and then pushed his body to the limit in an extreme moment. Nothing more.

Now I'm not saying that you're wrong for having an opinion different than me. It's totally acceptable.......I'll kill you in your sleep later. But seriously....I still think that there were small things that I didn't like.....but nothing so much that it detracted from the overall experience.

I'm not reading anything into it. I'm saying it's disturbing for children to watch and they shouldn't have left it in.

Take Batman Returns. I've been a HUGE Batman fan since about age 3(when B:TAS started airing), but I didn't watch Batman Returns all the way through until I was like 11 because I couldn't stand Baby Penguin eating the kitten in the first scene.

Not really. It's not like they showed the dog actually eating the other dog. In one scene you see 2 dogs.....then you see one. Of course its all inferred but whatever....

:?

Did you like not see the movie or something?

When Kitty says "weren't there two of those?" the camera is focused on one dog chewing on an oddly-shaped, bloody bone, surrounded by clumps of dog fur all over the floor.

So what the hell did Superman bring back? Did they tell us and I missed it when I went out for more popcorn?

He brought back a Kryptonian dildo for Lois.
