Best issue of the series yet. RIP Sam Loeb & Conner Kent.

Btw, Sam had the same birthday as me, down to the year....kinda frealed me out. Looks like he would've been a great writer too. Great book, great cause, great tribute.
 
I like the part where Robin was fighting the ninjas and superboy was in the hot tub with the girls. Robin: he's like "you got to be kidding me." Conner: "...and I only found paradise! C'mon in... We're makin' bubbles". Robin: "Conner.. you know those are just robots?" Conner: "Yeah. So...?" Robin: SO... We have less than five minutes left to find hiro, and you're----BEING YOU! Conner: Wait! Wait! We're gonna play underwater Teen Titans Twister--! Wait!" Robin destroys the robots. Conner: I hate you. I hate you more that anyone I have ever known. Robin: you really aren't well, you know that? Conner: Dude, one day you're going to grow a hormone and all will become clear. Robin: And now...? How do you know I'm not a robot? Conner: You Couldn't be. No one would build a robot who was such a buzzkill!" It's kind of like if Ice and TGO were to team-up.

The issue was so well done that even with all the writers...you can't pick out your favorite page or 2.

But I still think the Sam Story at the end had to be the highlight.

I loved everything about the Sam issue. It was very touching.

What you guys think of 27?

I found it to be fun. I like the classic throwback issue. Even though it seemed pointless. I want to see more of Huntress and Powergirl.

The ending going in Supergirl was a nice contintity touch.

This was a filler issue right? I don't think the people who did this issue are sticking around to do the next issues right? Or am I thinking about something else?

Either way.....I didn't really care for this issue too much. Maybe because it was such a departure from Loeb/McGuiness (which were just perfect).

It was total camp...and fun camp. But just not entertaining camp. I thought Batman telling Supes that he WAS Powergirl was just hilarious.
 
Not digging the new issue or the new art. Not really sure why I don't---but I just don't.

Probably won't be sticking with this title too much longer. :(
 
Yeah.....after the second issue I dropped the book. Couldn't stand the writing and the art was so bad. So so bad.


I so desperately want to get back into the book because I thought I heard Guggenheim was writing it.....although I'm not sure about who is doing the art.
 
Is anyone still reading this.

I'm liking the Metal Men arc. With Brainiac stealing a new Omac that Bruce was building.

And Superman finding out.

Because someone has to keep an eye on things and have emergency plans for any contingency. Just because Batman isn't a douchebag anymore doesn't mean he's not vigilant.

:D Plus, he's taking the Outsiders back under his wing.
 
This last arc with Batman and Superman on Apokolips was the best one this series has had.

Becca and Batman were great. The passion between the two was very well written and the art was very good.



And the first issue of the new arc seems interesting with them hunting down all the world's kryponite.
