Super Mario Galaxy (Spoilers)

I got this for my birthday and have played it a bit. It's pretty fun, though I wouldn't play it for hours on end. I think limiting it to a star or two a day might be best.

That's what I did sometimes. After a while I got the feeling that I had enough for a while, so I stopped playing for some hours or until the next day.

I'm at 47 stars at the moment. I don't know if I can be bothered going back to get the hidden ones. And that ******* Luigi keeps getting lost.

You guys should get an extra remote and then you can sit there and watch, but also control the little star pointer.

We have an extra remote, and my brother told me what you just told me, but I still don't understand what you mean. Would P1 not be able to control the star pointer, and what else do you use it for in the game besides picking up stars?


Sorry, I'm pretty much the definition of a n00b when it comes to gaming.

You pretty much just take over the control of the star pointer (pretty sure P1 can't do anything with it now) and use it to pick up stars, shoot them at enemies etc.

No, a second Star Pointer appears. P1 still controls his own Star Pointer.

And yeah, you basically just collect star bits and can shoot them if you want to. It's for people who want to watch with maybe just a little bit of interaction.

Only played up to the first save point after the first star. BUT this games is cool , Glad I got it. The videos of Bowsers assault at the beginning actually made me go :shock: that's ****ing awesome.

The shock was not for the graphics though those are pretty. It was the tone of it. The flag close up , the bombs , the close up of peach's eye watching. It was not the tone as other mario games , It seems darker , more mature. If that makes sense.


That said i ****ing hate catching the rabbits :lol: annoyed the piss out of me they kept running around with me chasing them in a complete circle round and round like a cartoon.
 
I'm up to 23 stars...had a chance to play it quite a bit today.

I had a heck of a time with the rock guy though.
