South Park series discussion *spoilers*

When that general said, "I not sending any of my men in there." I was laughing, but that guy talking over the radio, I practically on the floor.

"Oh my god something is in here AHHHHH"
"What's wrong?"
"It's eating my hand!"

The whole internet research was great

watched it online tonight it was funny.

I also agree with cartman you see a Muslims you think terrorist. Can not be helped. Like when I got on plane to America and the guy in front of me looked like bin laden I was thinking "i'm going to die i'm going to die"

Wow. That's pretty racist.

So I guess if we ever meet you're gonna think "I should hide my fried chicken"?

Maybe I'm just speaking for myself---or maybe it's because I've been around so many people who're Middle Eastern that it doesn't phase me.

Anyways let me stop before I go off onto some kinda rant and end up having to take a break from the site.

didn't mean it as racist although I see it looks that way.

sorry dude if I did offend you
I think I get what you mean. There is so much social indoctrination about Muslims that it's hard not to let it effect you. It doesn't mean you're a racist, but it's not far off.

[CAPTAIN_SEMANTICS]If you see an Arabic person and are afraid of them or assume they're Muslim, I think that makes you a racist because you're judging them by their skin color. If you seen a Muslim and think they're a terrorist, I think it makes you religiously biased.[/CS]

I think its okay if you see a mulsim and in your head you immediately think terrorist but you know that its an irrational thought and you dont let it affect your judgement or actions. If you did let those thoughts affect the way you act and believe them to be rational than you would be racists. Like how cartman acted when the new student showed up.

Being Captain Semantics again, but you can't see someone and know they're a Muslim unless they're doing something like saying a Muslim prayer or have clothing only Muslims wear. And when I say clothing only Muslims wear, I don't mean Middle Eastern clothing, I mean actual Muslim religious clothing.

I know it is not the correct term but i think most say Muslim refuring to all people from Arab countries TwilightEL.

It's like native Americans even if it is not the correct term still get called Indian.

but I didn't mean to bring this topic down.

Ugh. You people. I was born and raised Muslim (though I personally don't believe in Islam) and I have no problems when people claim that all of us are Terrorists. It's a reasonable fear, albeit an ignorant one.

Although this is the wrong thread for this discussion.

Garrison: "Not all Muslims are terrorists."
Cartman: "But most of them are, and all it takes is most of them."

What.

I'm the Muslim around here! You can't steal my schtick! How many muslims use yiddish?! HUH? HUH?

Gorram it.

Also, I completely understand the muslim-terrorist thing. When you meet/see someone of a different ethnicity and one which you are not accustomed to your mind fills up with all the stereotypes of that ethnicity. It's a very natural response. I see a black guy and I can't help but think of every single nigger joke ever (I don't mean, "What type of people should die?" "Niggers." nigger jokes, I mean the thing like the Niggar Family on David Chappelle or the N*GGERS gag on this season of South Park, or even Chris Rock - that kind of thing is what I mean, the race-humour of the african-american community). That's fine - it's a problem when it leaves your head. Seeing an arab and thinking terrorist is one thing - suspiciously eyeing him, making him feel uncomfortable, and treating him as if he were a terrorist is prejudicial and wrong. But that's not what SSJmole was doing, so it's fine with me.

As for the Snuke episode - I was howling. Straight away - the way Cartman reacts to Bahrir - oh god, that's brilliant stuff. And the 'moral' of the story. And of course - the British invasion (with their bad teeth!) - heee heee heee. I love this show.

Exactly I wouldn't treat one different because of it at all it just comes to mind. But I'm from England and know we have stereotypes too. E.g when in America i had a lot of people assume I drink tea. I don't I hate hot drinks but they would bring me a cuppa and be shocked when I said i don't drink tea can I have a coke?

When I think American I think Homer Simpson , When I think Jew i think greedy ect.... but I would not treat them as if they were. In my work I deal with different races and religion and I know the stereotype is not true and can be the opposite . E.g I work with a Jewish guy and like i mentioned you here jew you think greedy yet he is one of the kindest people I know if he buys a pack of ciggys he gives one everyone or buys people gifts just to be nice. hell he even bought me a new light for my harley the day i broke it.

Imo stereotypes are ok like people said if you don't act on it. Without them most comedies would not be as good

edit : just noticed the filter on this site to remove bad language is raciest  it blocked out what I put instead of ciggys because it means something else somewhere else.

Also - did anyone think that the 'oldest enemy of America' ever was going to be either the Native Americans or... THE CRAB-PEOPLE!!!!!!!

I did. :D

I was actually expecting it to be themselves in a "you're your own worst enemy" type twist

Was I the only one expecting the British? Now I wasn't expecting the boats, and in retrospect I should have been.

We might not really rule the world be we rule the word filters!

I figured that it was the British, or the Native Americans, but the ships and muskets were a surprise. So was the queen blowing her brains out.
