Smallville (spoilers)

You know, for someone who complains about teasing so much...

What... I can't even make one joke? I thought it was about obsessive joking. Not a joke every once in a blue moon about different things... I really wasn't planning on making another crack at you for at least five to six months and it wouldn't even been about the samething. I'm sure by then you'd say or do something other that talk about that problem.

The reason I complain is its always the same joke and it done by to many people. I mean you weren't even here when that happened and you just decided to join on the bandwagon. I was just making a joke, then I was going to drop it and move on to another topic for the next time. But also make a crack about some of the others (the ones who can take it) in the mean time. One crack per person. You know like friendly banter.

Like the time I called Ice a posting whore and nicknamed him the Midnight Cowboy. All he did was (jokingly of course) agreed with me and imaged being known as The Midnight Cowboy, just for kicks. But anyways I feel like Ice is about to come on here and say, back on topic. So I'll stop now.

This happened a while ago and may have been commented on, but I'm finally getting caught up on Smallville and I must say, I love that Jimmy made himself a star reporter and Chloe a coffee girl. Dick.

I'm just watching a first-season episode of the show right now and it makes me equally happy and sad.

They just knew what to do so well back then, with the characters and the stories and the dialouge and the effects and the morals.... they really had something special back then.

It's the one where Clark's powers get transferred to Eric Summers. Man, what a great episode. In addition to some great, fun moments, it had some of the best lines in the series...

Eric: "If you had the power to do anything in the world, Clark, what would you do?!"
Clark: "I'd stop people like you."

How can people who understood the mythos SO WELL seem to have forgotten everything over the course of a few years?:noway:

I've been a little slow, and due to my dislike of anything Superman, never bothered to watch Smallville. But recently, with nothing else left to watch I decided to give it a go. Just had season 2 delivered and on the second disc atm.
I like it, but there are a couple of things at are gonna get old... soon.

Clark/Lana - God it's worse than watching Ross and Rachel or JD and Elliot...

The constant little superman jokes. How many times can they make a "Clark Kent - Man of Steel" or a "I don't like flying" joke without it starting to get stale....

That being said I still like it.

I know we have a few dozen villains cropping up from the Superman stories, so it got me thinking...

Bring on DOOMSDAY!!

Unfortunately, Hellsbuttmonkey, The series gets very bad...very quickly. Expect to start vomiting around the start of season 4.

My best friend, who is a big Smallville fan has told me that season 5 was REALLY bad, but season 6 started to get better...

Season 6 they cut the budget so much it wasn't funny. I love it so far but i'll admit season 8 I might go off it a bit as Lex is leaving during or just after season 7

I just read a rumour a friend sent me, quite ironic as i mentioned it in my first post, but as there is talk that as Lex is going after season 7 (which is a shame because at the moment he is probably my favourite character), that the main villain for season 8 will be Doomsday. Could be a good way to end the series...

Season's 4, 5 and 6 were all respectively terrible. Your friend who said that things got better in season 6 is wrong. It was just a bunch of half assed superhero cameos and Clark feeling sorry for himself.

If you don't like it you have to admit the Justice team up was ****ing cool. Plus most cameos in season 6 were for an ongoing story which worked well.

The first three seasons were absolutely brilliant.

Season 4 was absolute CRAP, and Season 5 was an encore of all that stuff, but had a great finale.

Season 6, although nowhere near up to the level of the first three, was very much better than 4 and 5, no question about it. The finale kind of sucked, though, and there's a good chance I'm not even going to bother with Season 7, what with all the crap about Supergirl and stuff.

Honestly, I don't think season 6 had many redeeming qualities. The Zod episodes were pretty cool, and then nothing. The Lana/Lex thing had me yawning and Clark angsting gets very old, very fast. The JLU teamup was executed poorly, and Lex being the big villain just seemed forced. Rosenbaum is a great actor, but he couldn't overcome the poor writing.

Oh, man, the finale was so unintentionally hilarious. They should never have Chloe and Clark both be surprised in the same episode, because it just showcases how Tom Welling is unable to act.

Lana: I know your secret!
Clark: *has no emotion whatsoever*

Clark: Lana knew my secret!
Chloe: *makes a surprised face*

And again, they put every character except one in mortal danger and/or supposedly already dead. I almost expected to see Martha's helicopter crash on the way to Washington.
