Movie West is the West that appeared in
Re-Animator (1985)
Bride of Re-Animator
Beyond Re-Animator
Hack/Slash vs Re-Animator
Vampirella vs Re-Animator
Army of Darkness vs Re-Animator: Necronomicon Rising

Comic West is the West that apears in most of Dynamite's comic. So,
Re-Animator #0
Army of Darkness vs Re-Animator
Prophecy
Army of Darkness/Re-Animator
Re-Animator #1-4
Pathfinder: Worldscape: Re-Animator

There's two different Herbert West's in the Slasherverse. Yeah, it makes no sense

There's two Herbert Wests working at Miskatonic University?

Yeah, two Herbert West's. It's one of the major continuity problems with the Slasherverse. Don't think about it too much
Why do there need to be two? What makes them different? (I've not read the comics, just curious as to why they can't be viewed as the same person)

The Dynamite version is still a student at Miskatonic University in the 2000s and only seems to be about 30. He has a different origin and it takes place in the 2000s. He also has a different personality and is a lot more passive.

Got it. Thanks for the info!

What about Dawn of the Reanimator and Tales of Herbert West

What about Dawn of the Reanimator and Tales of Herbert West

Dawn of the Re-Animator is a prequel to the Re-Animator film and Tales of Herbert West are stories related to the original Re-Animator book from 1922

Is it also possible that the two Herbert Wests are distant relatives or something?

Okay, sooo, if we take the references from Hayes dialogue:
  • Chucky or any of Andre Toulon's puppets? (Haunted Dolls)
  • John Kramer? (Puzzle Killers)
  • Michael Myers or Victor Crowley? (Unstoppable Juggernauts)
  • Bobby Henkel from the Sorority House Massacre series? (Ritual Sorority House Massacres)
  • Sadako Yamamura or Samara Morgan (Video Tape that kills people)
  • Pinhead and the Cenobites? (Hellfire)
  • Jason Voorhees? (Psychopath with a machete)

Is this meant to be referencing Matt Cordell from the Maniac Cop trilogy, cause it seems like it? Hell, the "long time" makes sense when you remember that the trilogy released between 1988 and 1993.

Damn the Slasherverse is a messed up place with all of the killer's running around not to mention how Hollywood is somehow more morally corrupt then our world

Now if someone can find a solid link that can fit the Scream franchise in, then we have an even more morally corrupt Hollywood.

Hell, even the unrelated Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey II had the first film exist as an in-universe movie (which helps explain away why the likes of Christopher Robin, Pooh Bear and Piglet looked different in the sequel) that was loosely based on Christopher's experiences with the half breeds. Ain't just Hollywood that are morally corrupt when British filmmakers are profiting on an actual massacre.

On another unrelated note, if anyone's interested in some slasher games with a retro vibe, I highly recommend checking out Puppet Combo and the games they put out.
