[Megatron]

Today, 14th June 2023 a new transformers shared continuity is born: The Energon Universe: which will include Trandformers, G. I. Joe and new creations by Skybound. So it's the start of a new adventure.

getting into this in release order. So 1st issue of transofrmers depicts events similar to the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster, so Ig we're in the 1980s? I'll go with it for now and then change the dates if They give us actual dates.

also both shcokwave (Void Rivals #4) and Starscream (Transformers #1) stated that the war was houndreds of years ago, so seems like that this is the shorted span of war we ever saw in transformers.

read issue 2, the war lasted only for 200 years, so i can have a more defined date now. Starscream stated they were asleep for a few hundred years, so ig another 200 years?

The issue depict F-18 planes, a model that was first used in 1986, mmmmm.....

the TF wiki claims that the time jump can't work anymore cos of the events of future issues of transformers and G. I. Joe, as for now I'll follow the time skin, afterwards I'll see what I can do with it! Oh of course there are old computer, and a modern phone, (?) [IDK if it's really a mobile phone]

About the time jump, seems like at least a month passed from his encounter with starscream in Transformers #2, so 6 months later and we're in September of '87.

IDK if it's the best way to start tho.... As for G. I. Joe I would advice to start with Duke, then Cobra Coomander, then Scarlett and then Destro as they are all prequels to the G. I. Joe series that will start in November.

I will tell you when I arrive to Cobra Commander, so that you can get a great experience, cos this universe is a blast until now!

OK, so, this id the first comic related to Transformers or G.I. Joe that I have read, so I don't have too much to compare it.
It was cool.
There was lots of blood, definitively it was not a Saturday morning cartoon, lol.
As for continuity, there was what I understand is a reference to the Duke series but apart from that I didn't have too much problem starting here, since we are still in the begining of the universe.
Apparently the Destro series continues from here, so maybe in that case is necessary to read the Cobra Commander one.

Ok we're def in modern times!

So @Jozaca , tomorrow i'll try to add cobra commander #2, so be ready to give me feedback!

As for now that's how i organized things:

- Void Rivals VOL. 1 Set in 2023 before anything else. (to give Jetfire the time to reach earth, also i plan to put VOL. 2 in 2024).

- Trasformers VOL. 1 Set in 2023, (ik that the issues were released between 2023-2024, but they happens one after the other, hope there is a stop with issue 6 like void rivals, so i can place VOL. 2 in 2024).

- Duke between 2023-2024 (there's a 6 month time jump in issue #1 and it was the last comic released in 2023 so well ig it could mean the coming of the new year, also the reference to duke in CC meant that the 2 miniseries happened at the same time or Duke finished before CC?).

- Cobra Commander in 2024 (the whole series was released this year, hope it works).

btw I realized one thing while I was sleeping:

So idk if you noticed, but Megatron in CC looks less damaged than in transformers, so ig that it could be an error, but since Megs is in the ice in transformers, maybe Cobra-La found him and started to repair him a lil before getting into his memories? If we take this theory as canon it could solify a 2023 placement for Transformers VOL. 1 and 2024 for Cobra Commander.

I think that it is probably an drawing error or that they actually repaired him a bit, yes.

Transformers (who could have guessed am i right?), tho Void Rivals was the biggest surprise.

I didn't finished Duke and CC so i don't talk for those yet.

Btw in your country do you have gadgets with the comics?

Btw I think that when Megatron will be in full play and will join the Transformers series with the other cast, that we'll get to the 1st crossover or event of the EU.
