Did Skull ever do anything for Doom?

Captain America spoilers:
Skull has Doom's time machine and is attempted to reverse engineer it.
I don't recall if it was said how he got it or what the terms were, but it's like 9:30 in the morning....anyone?

And Proj I was hoping for a little more than that from you - you were pretty against the whole thing based on the Marvel mole spoilers.

It was alright, but I'm just not that interested in it. I don't care about the Skrulls, I don't care about big events, I don't care about whatever else is happening.

This is a good read...

After months of build-up and anticipation, Marvel Comics' "Secret Invasion" #1 is finally in stores. The kickoff issue to the long awaited event has answered some burning questions, but also left fans with a whole set of new ones.

In an effort to help answer those questions, CBR News kick off SPOILERS OF WAR, new monthly feature (inspired by Augie De Blieck Jr's feature THE COMMENTARY TRACK), in which we speak in-depth with writer Brian Michael Bendis about "Secret Invasion" on a page-by-page basis as the series rolls out.

Today, we look at issue #1.

The old Proj. is back!

Also, I thought this was great. It was all enjoyable and Yu has upped his game some artwise for sure. Can't wait to see how it builds from here. I'm sure Susan has been a Skrull since in th FF:SI tie-in it says one of the F4 is a Skrull and the person on the cover wasn't shown (since SI #1 wasn't out yet).

I don't think Sue is a Skrull. It was just one disguised as her to access the Negative Zone weapon thing in the Baxter Building.

Here's the thing.

Avengers: Disassembled- When Vision was ripped in half by She-Hulk, it was all machine. And now we have another Vision coming out of the ship. So is this Vision a Skrull?

That's true. If it was Sue all along, there'd been no need to come back as someone else to then shift into Sue. Still, I wonder...

Both Bendis and the spoilers have confirmed that Sue was not a Skrull and that this one has only just recently taken over.

Vision makes me wonder. The original was machine and then recreated and made a Young Avenger. that had to be the original one. Also with Phoneix Endsong. She didn't turn into a Skrull. that we know anyway. Also I have a feeling the whole, "you only know i they're a skrull if you kill them" rule will no longer apply (besides revealing themselves).

Also, the newly arrived team has gotta be fake. The fact they have Power Man suited Cage is a misdirection. but bendis is trying to make you confused as to who is real.

if you think back though, the Illuminati's encounter with the Skrull was years back, even in marvel continuity. So all the info they gathered on the heroes may or may not be a little dated. Just a theory.

Well, they're all dressed in their 70's classic look minus Wonderman, who just happened to be wearing the same clothes as current Wonderman minus the gold chain. Whatever. They both still don't count.

Also, I dont think 70's Wolverine is the real one. He has to be Skrull. I mean, they did Wolverine was a Skrull before, I doubt the NA Wolverine would be the Skrull one.

I found this very poorly written. There's some really great stuff in this story, but Bendis isn't very good at executing it - but kudos to him, it really is a good idea. A very exhilarating one.

The art is terrific.

It was poorly written, all it had going for it was one shock twist after another. Anyone can do that well enough.

It would be interesting to see if it stays that way for awhile now.

Shocking!

Also, from CBR's "Spoiler of War: Secret Invasion #1 article:

Astute CBR readers in the "Secret Invasion" discussion thread on the CBR Forums picked up on something that had changed in the final publication of "Secret Invasion" #1. Originally, we included a look at the last page of "Secret Invasion" #1 which included a four panel sequence that showed the Hank Skrull infiltrator touching the forehead of the Elektra Skrull. Except, the published panel didn't include that moment. Have a look at the following image for the before/after comparison.

With speculation running high regarding the change, CBR News spoke with "Secret Invasion" writer Brian Bendis to see what the true reasons for the change are. Is this a Skrull conspiracy or something a bit less sinister?

"I made some tweaks to the scenes at various stages including rearranging a couple of scenes at the end for maximum effect," Bendis told CBR News Friday afternoon. "Originally the armada page was going to be the final page, but we all decided Hank and Reed should be. That beat with Elektra Skrull at the end became confusing and unnecessary at that point. It could be read as something other than what it is, so we left it on 'the cutting room floor.' But it was still attached to the preview copy that went out. Basically everyone thought I was done picking, but I wasn't. I'm a picker."

From LitG:

ITEM! How to you treat for a seizure? The recommended procedure says, "Do not touch the person's mouth or put anything in it, including water or medicine used to treat seizures, as it may cause the person to choke. People having seizures cannot swallow their tongues, despite popular belief."

In "Secret Invasion" #1, Ms. Marvel says about Tony Stark, "He's having a seizure. Give me a branch. Something to bite on."

Evil, evil Ms Marvel...

Ms. Marvel is a Skrull!

The article even states it's a common misconception. If anything, she's being an ignorant human.
