On the Runaways/Young Avengers crossover:

http://forum.newsarama.com/showthread.php?t=157180

Note the comment about Nextwave.

I'll be passing on the Runaways/Young Avengers crossover. The last time they had one was during Civil War......and it sucked. I also hate that Marvel seems intent on lumping the 2 groups together because they're "young".

Just because they're young doesn't mean they have much in common. Especially since Runaways tends to travel slightly outside the main Marvel universe.

They had a lot in common.

Both had skrulls on the team, Vision is a creation of Ultron has is Victor. Both an a traitor.

The first team-up was one of the best Civil War tie-ins. I loved it.

Issue 3.

So there is a lot of jumping around to alot of the story lines that were started in issue 1 and 2.
Except that there has been no mention of Marvel Boy since his first appearance.

Jarvis (Skrull) talks to Maria about surrendering.
Young Avengers take on Super Skrulls, with help of the Initiative, after Hank Pym (Skrull) sends them into battle the Super Skrulls as well.
Looks like the Skrulls are taking away the defenses of America (smart plan, not like some 'villains').
Reveal of Tony maybe being a Skrull, and he does not know, pretty much like the new Captain Marvel that is running around.
But i think it being done a bit like the Sentry thing, putting doubt and fear into the enemy and take them out that way.
Ends pretty much as you would expect with the variant cover showing Nick Fury coming to save the day with a big gun.

Was excited at the start of the issue, but knew that ending was coming.
But Tony part is interesting enough to look forward to issue 4.

If Tony is a Skrull and he doesn't know it, then that is ****ing lame. It would have undone pretty much everything important... Extremis, Civil War... better be a red herring.

The rest of the issue was alright. Art is exceptional. I like Spider-Woman. Ending was average. Didn't like the pages with all the Skrull speech.

You're just jealous because you can't read it like ice and me.

Plus they were talking about you.

It's pretty blatant he isn't a skrull, the queen is just messing with him.

Plus he'll be teaming up with Thor and Captain America(James).
Also, i don't see how it invalidates anything until they mention WHEN he was replaced(if he was)

The whole thing was pretty meh

but a righteous meh because of Yu's art

but still not much happened.

I got a feeling that the good stuff is coming in the last two issues

I saw a couple Colbert 08 posters though

I don't even know what you're talking about. Maybe if you posted more than once every three months I would understand.

I would agree, but this is Bendis, and he has written some of the stupidest things I've ever read.

I can't help but think, that Mar-Vell's business with the T-Bolts isn't what we think it is, I think something is still up with Mar-Vells health, and he doesn't have much time left

personally I think he heard about Genis's death and the role the T-bolts (not the current iteration mind you) had in it..for some reason... I dunno it makes sense

I think Mar-Vell is looking for someone to take up his legacy, thinking Hulkling is too innocent, he finds out about Genis and Phyla, but since Phy is off world, he looks into Genis, finds out about his death, goes looking for answers, Norman tells him that it's really just a dead end, Mar-Vell gives him the spiel about needing a legacy, and Norman tells him he's heard of something funny going down in the cube

ultimately leading to Mar-Vell giving Noh-Varr the responsibility of being Captain Marvel, obviously Noh will refuse at first, but upon seeing Mar-Vell die (probably in some sort of blaze of glory) Noh will take up the name, and the nega bands

I reckon Norman's gonna get him drunk and then they're gonna sleep together.

Read #3.

LOVED it.

Whether Tony is a Skrull or the queen is just screwing with him, I love the idea that he might be ad now he's not even sure.

I don't get the Thunderbolts/Norman Osbourne thing, but probably because I'm trying to make Skrull connections that might not be there.

I wish Mar-Vell was a Skrull.

I gotta say - I've always liked Yu's art when it was inked to look rough and colored with dull colors, but this art with the inks done nice and crisp and with vibrant colors looks GREAT. I really enjoy his work.

So far so good. Hope we get some more big reveals coming up.
