I'm thinking that Castle gets caught and Doom tortures him for information but Castle doesn't say anything. He ends up escaping and blowing up Doom's castle... Doom's body isn't found. The epilogue is a bunch of gypsies finding Doom's body washed up near a riverbank, his face now terribly scarred and muttering Castle's name over and over again.

Also, I think HYDRA would be involved somehow, perhaps funding Doom's rule. And HYDRA would be led by the MAX version of the Red Skull, who would be radically different... though I do want to see how Castle would react to a Nazi.

GARTH ENNIS IN "VERY EARLY STAGES" OF A NEW "PUNISHER" SERIES

..."I will be starting work on another 'Punisher' miniseries quite soon, that'll probably come out sometime next year," Ennis said on the podcast. "That's at the very early stages."
