I've gotta say, it really seems like Bendis is turning Spider-Woman into a real cool character. Shame he's doing it at the expense of USM... Now, if only Spider-Woman could get a better costume and a more suitable name. What are her powers, anyway?
 
It's another "Bendis is writing a lot of books, so that must be why USM sucks right now" complaint.

Well, first of all, I found an inconsistancy, unless there is time between Dissassembled, HoM, and New Avengers... Jessica Drew mentions that she wants to be dead. Like Hawkeye. Now, there's a caption that reads "6 months ago". Is this being consistant or am I on to something?

Also, what are her powers? Do they have anything to do with a spider?

Lastly, the costume is dated... I think she can look even hotter in another... Believe me, it's a good idea. Skotti Chan could design it and you know it'll be good. :)
 
She's great in what she's in now. No one else is complainin (not saying you are, Im saying in general) or sayin to change it. :)

Spider-Woman possesses superhuman strength and endurance, an immunity to all toxic substances and radiations, and a metabolism which produces excessive bioelectricity that can be released in powerful discharges. She can tap her body's store of energy to emit a directed, bioelectric beam she called her venom blast that was about a tenth the charge of a lightning bolt the same size.
 
Weird... Yeah, does anyone else really think that should grant her Spider-Woman as her handle? You've gotta have webs! :)
 
I think it had to do with the serum she drank that gave her all those powers. I don't really know though. :?

They could have robbed one of Mattie Franklin's dozen Spider-Woman outfits. I agree, that may have been a 'cool' costume back when the character premiered, but it's not on the same level as Spider-Man where it can be considered ageless. Very few heroes are.
