Theres a Metroid Prime 3 preview up for download(wich is why the wii is glowing) on the wii shop channel its for free too

And it looks kick ***

How can I get games to load files from the memory card and not the system? It sucks that I have to copy everything back to the system so I can play the loaded files.

I still can't find any way to load from the memory card if at all possible. I tried looking in the system controls and nothing.

This sucks.

Ah just checking , you can't load directly from an SD card , they are to back up saves and vc games also to share photos , video and saves with a friend but sorry no way to load directly from it.


Maybe in the future an update will allow this.

You seem surprised? This is Nintendo who said the "everybody votes" channel was going to be used to help know what you think of games ..... then they turn around and make the questions stuff like "which came first , the chicken or the egg?"

Regardless about the channell, to have something like that with the memory card only to save back-ups is retarted. To save games onto it, then copy back and forth...makes no sense.

It's basically to transfer though.

They assume you haven't used all your memory on your console and if you have the games you don't play much or at all you'll back up saves.

So it's just for if you went to your mate's house to let them see your save.

Makes sense , It's dumb , but makes sense.





Oh related to SD card and Wii , Did you on gamefaqs yet? You can get some saves from there to put on SD card and transfer to wii (I did that a while ago with a fighting game so I could unlock everyone and just play) Think of how cool it'll be to do that with smash brothers when it comes out as unlocking everyone on them is annoying.

Note : if you do that , play the game first then go to menu and then add the save and go back. (if you've not played then you can't add save)

No, it doesn't make sense. Because the 360, which has a way bigger HD drive to save, still makes it available to save/load from memory cards if that's what you want.

I see no reason why Nintendo didn't do the same. It's a horrible move to just assume people will have enough memory or whatever. It doesn't matter if it uses little save blocks or whatever. There should still be that option to load/save from/to a memory card.

360 has memory cards and let you do it but that is because the core system has no HD

So just found out My Sims comes out Sept. 18th here.


Now my list of upcoming games for the Wii:



  • Metroid Prime 3 (Aug. 28th)
  • Carnival Games (Aug. 28th)
  • MySims (Sept. 18th)
  • Super Mario Galaxy (Nov. 12th)
  • Mario & Sonic (Nov. 20th)
  • Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Dec. 3rd)


With these 6 games, that'll bring my total of Wii games to 13. The most I've ever owned for any system myself.
