Yes you can save game data.
And another cool feature is that it will remember where you left off even if the game doesn't have a save feature.
As for Super Mario World - no, that's not the one. Super Mario World was the game that came with Super Nintendo. You had to rescue the Yoshi eggs and Mario had a yellow cape.

That was Super Mario All Stars which I doubt will ever be available since they can just put up the original three and get more points.

that way I get you on my parade

Actually I'm not home - I'm out of town for a few days on a job interview. I'll try to add both of you when I get back.

Today's VC Releases are Final Fight for the SNES, Ordyne for the TurboGrafx16 and Mighty Bomb Jack for the NES.
Meh. Final Fight was cool but I don't think I'll be downloading anything this week.
