Also this thing about black Widow being in a suit SUCKS. They are sooo consurned about the Cpt. Formular and all that, but the fact is that they could just put a Iron man Suit on everyone that would like to join the team? After all Iron Man is the 2nd strongest on the team, so who would't like about 10 of him? They would take the Ultimates down in 5 sec.


Yeah but tony suit cost millions, giving a bunch of soldiers a steroid jab (even if it costs millions to develop) Is a lot cheaper as once it's developed it might only cost a few dollars and make potentially unlimited supersoldiers.

Also tony suit needs about hundred people in the background to get it up and running and a ground crew in constant contact uploading him stuff.

Bit like saying F16 are cool why do you need soldiers, just make a million F16's and get rid of the army as they are only nomal people....its not that easy and not that useful, super soldier serum is a much better idea.
 
Correct... Look at WWII, for instance. German forces had much stronger tanks than the Allies, however, we ended up winning because, although we used cheaper stuff, we still had the edge in numbers... Now, if you applied that here, having Iron Man suits would be too costly and they could probably be brought down easier by a super soldier. ;)
 
Hmm... I still agree that the Widow Armor sucks. I thought about something that might calmed me/us down a bit. I don't think they're building millions of iron man suits for the military, I think the whole idea behind the suit that Widow is wearing is sort of a gift from Tony focusing more on their relationship. I wouldn't surprised if they mention that when the whole issue is released. Tony Stark is the richest man in the world and knowing what Widow's interests are, I can see him buying her something like the suit just for kicks.

Yeah, but that's what initially bothered me. I don't like the idea of him going and doing that, especially since I don't think the relationship has been elaborated on too much. We'll see how it goes, though...
 
I think you might be missing the point. This IS the elaboration of the relationship. Its just not happening in the early stages, its being elaborated on after its already established. Tony is a bit messed up but he seems to actually like Widow. This is just the slightly disturbing way he has of showing it. Trying to make her safer in combat.

Hmm... I still agree that the Widow Armor sucks. I thought about something that might calmed me/us down a bit.

I didn't say it doesn't suck or not just that Ironman is cool but also lots of setbacks that just kitting out the ultimates all in 'iron man armour won't solve.

Wolverine didn't seem to have too much bother with him :roll:

I think the gift thing is probably something tony might do and as someone mentioned earlier he might be doing it to set up a sort of legacy so it kind of makes sense.

As for the idea the BW should go on rampage in it, might be funnier if she tried to and found out tony just shut her down with a touch of a button and with a smile and joke make her realises he knew what she was up to before even she did but hope it doesnt mean dinner tonight is cancelled?. I mean this guy is meant to be uber intelligent...

Anyhow...i still think that scenerio sucks but just adding a way to make it go from -10 sucky to -5

Still its all intriguing now...we have ultron mentioned everyother page of Ultimates now, we have Ultimate Vision and Galactus on his way to vist now, with vision being way too large at the moment from what we know of him. but his tech in the hands of shield guys who may just incoroprate it with a certain mr pyms designs, might allow wanda to get a real(?) boyfriend and not so close with her brother..that and bring ultron into things*

*somehow that seems to obvious i think mentioning Ultron every two seconds is to throw us off.

We have the supersoldiers (BW/HE/CAP) getting more power (now BW in ARMOUR as well) and all the oddballs being divided and kicked out and somehow in just 3 issues we are going to get the ultimate defneders joining up n the fray? but from the looks at the defenders line up they don't look like heavy hitters so whats the secret? Also this Ultimates is meant to be more about politics then any of the other ultimate titles so politics of what?

Globalisation? Facism? New world orders?

Is Ncik fury making a facist supersoldier newworld order and the oddballs and hippies showing up to save the world (remembering a certain Mr banner still at large possibly thrown in the mix)
When do we get to see pietro and wanda actually do anything apart from being good at getting shot? ....where do you guys think #4 is going to take us as i don't have a clue.

Maybe the grand theft of America is Cap realisation that America (in the hands of fury and such like) isn't the America he knew and we start to see cap slowly and painfully have to deal with realising that he isn't part of this America and that he is more in tune with the european hippies and wierdos fighting for a utopian and socialistic society than he is with the so called democratic world order of fury?

Haven't any of you guys ever heard of doing anything to get laid. That is exaclty what Tony is doing to the Widow. Miller is just adding real life into the book. The only way to have a drop dead sexy chick nowadays is to have lots of money. But what do you do if you're a millionaire and your girlfriend is a super-spy? You get her a really expenive weapon.

Yeah but why eh? Tony isn't exactly a slouch in the 'sleeping with anything with a pulse' department. Which is why Jarvis (and everyone else) is mystified, i mean its pretty obvious to everyone INCLUDING Tony, she just goes around seducing people for her own means...(as seen by Tony's face when she mentions she was going to sleep with thor just because..well no reason actually!) So is this a bit more of a twisted power struggle with each trying to get the other to fall in love with them? If so Tony's gonna lose that one! Yet this is why i like Ultimates, the characters are all playing little games with each other and its not the usual reasons to play superhero's they are far more self centred and in that more 'real' (ok if a world where 500pound organic steel gay guys can walk around with 60 foot wife beaters)

I mean in 616 BW would be wearing the armour to fight for truth justice and apple pie where as in this universe because we all would love to fly in a suit like that and saving people would be cool but even if not..well its still cool!.


As for Scarlet witch and quicksilver getting it on with black widow? Nah i think they like to keep it in the family

The suit that Capt. Britain wears is his source of power. If I remember correctly, he's more powerful on British soil rather than, say, American... Don't ask me how that works, I just know that's fact.

I think your getting Captain Britain confused with Snowbird perhaps Goody. Captain Britain is just called Captain Britain, he has no special connection with the country whereas Snowbird has her connection with Canada. Captain Britain's powers come from a combination of things including his suit, a resurrection by Merlin and Roma, a live extending fluid and various other things.

Or.......what if she was only there as a russian spy the whole time.My theory for GTA has been along the lines of Ultimate world war.We've seen(therefore there could be more)Captains Britain,Spain and France.Could Black Widow be the russian faction?
