Also, Pym gave the Defenders Super Soldier Serum? What SSS? I thought the entire point was that it doesn't actually exist anymore. Even if it did, Hank was off of SHIELD retainer at the time that he knew the Defenders. He wouldn't have access to it.

Unless Valkyrie is lying. But it's a pretty weak-a** lie if she is. This sucks.

The super soldier serum does exist - it just kills everyone who uses it except Cap.

Or it did until the Loebening.

I just tried posting this, so it may be messed - but I HAVE to say, I LOVE that word!
I'm sure this isn't original, but when Ultimate characters act COMPLETELY out of character, I enjoy saying they've been Loebotomized.
Out loud.

Ok, so this wasn't the best writing we have ever seen, but this was uncharacteristicly not the level of suck that we have come to expect from loeb. did loeb just loebotomize himself? this was on par with ultimate x
 
Ding Dong the witch is dead. Thank god. Now get rid of black panther, the two tiger people (Why are they there again? What are their powers?) and zarda and this book will have a roster I care about again.

But seriously we finally get the backstory of Valkyrie in the issue she bites the dust? Yeah, it's to late to make me care about her now Loeb. Also; way to make her death obvious from page one, Loeb. "I could just die" "my parents will just kill me"? Page one, panel one, my thoughts: "oh ****, she's finally gonna kick the bucket!!!"
 
Loeb will bring her back. He'll just keep killing Thor and she'll go around chopping arms off, getting her throat sliced, disappear, return, die, boom Thor's bavk thus restarting the whole thing over again!

... This series needs to spontaneously combust

Ultimate X doesn't suck this much :p
Jeph Loeb is the Michael Bay of the comic book industry, all style no substance. Somebody should kick him back to the ****ing 90's, it's the hell where he belongs (well, comic-wise anyways...).
 
So this series has had two issues since the last one, we have yet to mention them at all. is this one of those "don't see it, don't think about it, it doesn't exist" sort of things?

If he's going to be writing anything I'd rather see him taking time and writing a decent book that's prone to delays than churning out the garbage he has been recently.
