Eh, that's nice, but it still doesn't fix the main problem this game has (based on the gameplay videos shown at E3):

Boring mission parameters, horribly blocky graphics that, even as a conscious style choice, is horrible.

Also, it's co-op Metroid. That's antithetical to what Metroid is all about. Solitude is a major aspect of the Metroid series tone. It's all about a lone warrior facing insurmountable odds...

...not a horrible-looking team/co-op shooter.

Like I said, I'll give it a shot being a huge Metroid fan, but the developers of this game have left me with the impression that they're completely missing the point of the Metroid series.

It's almost like releasing a Metal Gear Solid game and completely doing away with the stealth aspect and just turning it into some shoot 'em up.

Or casting Pauly Shore as the lead in a Lars Von Trier film.

It just doesn't work. ;)
