Marvel Cinematic Universe - Timeline (Part 3)

i agree to disagree too. Also if I'm not wrong there's a guy from the MCU wiki here, if he could come here maybe he could sort this thing up.
Regardless of who they agreed with, their take would still only be opinion and not factual.

I agree with you on that, but not when the Disney+ timeline this timeline is following put the places in the timeline according to the wiki.

As discussed they most likely did it by just seeing the wiki place everything before Infinity War and that being enough for them. I truly doubt they put in any of the same care they do their own projects. I go with it since they've made it official, but that doesn't mean I agree 100% with it.

i agree on that and 100% they did that. But as CalamityJane said in a previous message, the order on Disney+ is what they'll follow moving foreword with each of their projects.

Which like I said I'm aware of and agree should be used. I just don't think much thought went into it beyond seeing the wiki already had it sorted out so they just went with it.

ik i told you that in the previous text... But again, if they had thought about this or not (100% they didn't) they'll use the Disney+ timeline.

I also remind you the tweet they did about Iron Man's death date wich was taken from the wiki.

So this for sure isn't the 1st time and won't be the last.

I know all of this. And as long as it isn't contradictory, I'm fine with them using wiki dates. But I do think they're more aware of something like Endgame being Fall 2023, so the wiki date would fit with it.

oh yeah for endgame they know, it was in the timeline book. That's why they went with that date. Also i think that this was before they added The Netflix shows, so maybe they tought that since this date fits then everything fits. Idk if you get me.

But still, it's now official.

I remember being hesitant to place all the Netflix shows in my chronological order list as I haven't watched all of them except for Jessica Jones and the Defenders (Sacrilegious to say on here I know) and I only know where they vaguely go due to the wiki and you guys on here that's why I'm not 100% trusting of the wiki's logic on some decisions so that's why I like that we have a different outcome

All I remember is that in Episode 1 or 2 of Daredevil S01 there is a reference to it being winter in Russia, 2 years after the Battle of New York and there is a mid/late October date on the blueprints of the hand's HQ (So I guessed around late fall 2014, but since GOTG 2 and I am Groot both fill in the late 2014 into early 2015 gap, which connects with JJS01 beginning at the very end of Jan 2015 I don't know if episodes overlap like with JJS01 and AOS S02 so I haven't bothered to watch and make notes)

and yeah i totally agree on this, i too don't agree with some placements of their movies and this affects my timeline in my notes, but since we are working here to an official timeline here, which is 100% official, we have to lean on the wiki for the netflix shows placememnts cos as you and me agree Rman, Marvel Studios, totally didn't look into it, so we have to base our findings to the wiki for those, as they're the ones who came with that. As sad as it is.

the wiki have DDS1 Flahsbacks, IMG and some episodes of AoS Season 2 overlap with fall 2014 - early 2015.

I think I saw some of the notes about that in the wiki, i just remember about the 2 year thing.

This one I think:
  1. In Into the Ring, Page states that since the Battle of New York (definitively 2012), "The last two years have transformed [Union Allied]," referring, now that it is the beginning of 2015, to the whole years of 2013 and 2014, in which they reconstructed much of New York.
I don't remember the other ones tho. I could look up tho.

I didn't found anything on the Blueprints so don't relie much on what i'm saying now, I think they took that date as the blueprint was made in October 2014, but not the HQ.

The movies are a different thing since they were actually done by Marvel Studios and all fit. I don't have any issues with their placements. And for my own timeline I use the wiki dates, I just have personal disagreements. But it is what it is.

The one thing that kinda worries me with this rule is how exactly it works
The "person possesses their dream self while their real self in deep in the subconscious" is a decent explanation, but
If this rule applies to every universe and not just the MCU, does the dream variant remember what their alternate self did? What happens after certain dreams are concluded and the possessing person wakes up? Do they memorize what the other one did or do they just forget it? What about looping dreams? Do they loop in these specific realities too or are they all just identical variants of one another? How many people possessed their alternate selves unknowingly and got away with it?
It's not really possession unless you're Dreamwalking, normal dreams are just seeing through your Variant's eyes. Highkey funny applying the Dream AU rule to every dream bc it supports that truly batshit insane things are happening in other universes, like Peggy being in a musical
