Marvel Cinematic Universe - Timeline (Part 3)

It's dumb choices like that which make me appreciate fan-fics like Earth-27M alot more, since they seem to tell much better stories than even the official writers.
I love Earth 27

You mean to tell me...

WE COULD'VE GOTTEN TEENAGE PUNK JESSICA JONES, YET SHE WAS REPLACED BY NICO MINORU (WHO HAS ZERO INTERACTIONS WITH PETER IN THE COMICS)!?!

OH THAT'S JUST FUCKING MARVELLOUS!

And if you couldn't all tell how much I'm frustrated by this...

Real, not that I have any issues whatsoever with Nico's inclusion, it's kinna odd that they didn't go through with Teenage Jessica after deciding to depart from the confines of the MCU. Ig they're trying to walk that line of influence in a similar vein as Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur

I wouldn't say all that but dawg I LOVE Earth-27

So much progress in bring lined up with the MCU's present day only to still be 4-5 years away, lol.
I don't mind it. We don't need to be lined up and I personally prefer things be more spread out rather than happening essentially on top of one another just so the timeline can catch up. Besides, I'm sure after Secret Wars they'll line back up again.

People are now getting all pissed at Anthony Mackie now due to the fact that he said Captain America should not only represent America

bro

this is like when people were upset that first man, the neil armstrong movie, didnt shoehorn in a scene of him planting the flag on the moon when the movie wasnt even really about that

they even tried to get ahead of this problem in 20fucking11 by releasing cap 1 as simply "the first avenger" internationally

guess when theres no valid criticisms left theyll just be upset at anything they can find

I think this is closer to the MCU than that show. They recreate the Peter Parker Civil War introduction, there's a televised scene of Ant-Man catching War Machine at the airport (in a trailer), Daredevil obviously, Doctor Strange is probably from another universe or time period since Peter doesn't recognise him, and Doctor Strange uses the same magic from his MCU appearances as well as being accompanied by his MCU theme.

all evidence is pointing towards a spring 2027 date after a 2026 election, even tho it would be a 2028 election irl; this paired with the one-term president line by fury at the end of secret invasion to me says there was no assassination or early resignation by ritson; hopefully we'll get a clear date from
a gravestone as seen in set photos theres going to be a funeral scene
but in all honesty im bracing myself for there to be 0 mention at all of the actual year
There's a good video on MCU presidents by A Little Bit of Everything on YouTube that suggests that maybe the Blip changed the election cycle around, since technically half of America didn't get to vote in the 2020 election.

yes i watch all his videos, at this point if it isnt directly addressed in bnw im going to assume that the 2016-2020 term was interrupted by the snap in may 2018, leading to a special election in november 2018 (ignoring the presidential chain of command for this example, or assuming enough of them were snapped to warrant it not applying); the only conflict i could think of within the wider mcu is an article about trump running for reelection in a newspaper in helstrom

I agree that Spidey skews closer, but the overall point was that both shows draw on the MCU while not being committed to its continuity/choosing to do its own thing. Funnily enough Strange's theme playing reminded me of Cap's MG&DD appearance with the Avengers theme

I highly doubt Strange is from another universe/time, it seemed fairly clear that Peter not recognizing him meant that Strange wasn't a well-known hero like the Avengers.

Yes, I do recall that but I neglected to mention it because the theme in this case is just an added footnote. I thought that mentioning them both having the same type of connections with shared actors and music put them on the same level of "MCU-adjacent". Then adding to that, the same events occurred with almost identical presentation to the MCU.
