Marvel Cinematic Universe - Timeline (Part 2)

Seemed more like the Peggy Carter Interview to me. Fair enough.
I'll think about adding it then. I'll also look into whether any of the other movies have similar scenes, to see if I add those as well.

I'm done with JJ S3. There is evidence for both spring and fall 2018.

Evidence for spring 2018:

-3x01: An email from SoHo Emporium says it's spring.
-3x01: Trish's show is advertising summer fashion.
-3x02: Grace mentions spring weather.
-3x13: Trish says they will be debuting their spring-summer collection.

Evidence for fall 2018:

-3x02: A file shows Jonathan Mitchell's age as 37, and his birth date as 10/06/1981. This scene seems to be set shortly after Trish begins training shortly after season 2, in mid-2017, so the date/age is likely an error.
-3x07: Donny Sallinger is said to have died 18 years ago, and the news article on it is dated April 7, 2001.
-3x08: Grace says Mother's Day is in 6 months.
-3x13: An email from SoHo SoHaute mentions fall styles.

Since most of the evidence for fall 2018 is from props, while most of the evidence for spring 2018 is from dialogue, I'm leaning towards placing JJ S3 in spring 2018, with the possible explanation that Grace was exaggerating/generalizing when saying Mother's Day is in 6 months.

React Like if you think the placement should be spring 2018. React Love if you think the placement should be fall 2018.

Can't live with post-snap, as it was clearly not intended to be that. I'd treat 6 months till Mothers day as 8 years later, and place the season according to Earth Day. I suppose you could say it takes place in February at least, and that would leave 3 months and be post LCS2 and IFS2.

Given that Jessica Jones S3 is pretty much nailed, how soon do you think The Punisher S2 will be changed to an more detailed state (2017/2018, depending on what you go with)?

I'd say January 2018 for The Punisher S2. Episode 8 had the "13" calendar app date on the phone and someone in the same episode mentioned that it was "Saturday" (I believe it was in the scene with Madani in Frank's trailer home). January 2018 has a Saturday the 13th. Of course, that would mean it's fairly concurrent with the first 7 episodes of Iron Fist S2.

Wasn't the weather fairly cool to where some characters wore jackets too?

Alright, so we know that the first few Netflix seasons, at least, are released in chronological order. I'll be taking an "X Months/Years since DD S1" approach, similar to the official MCU timeline.

I'll also be prioritizing dialogue for the timeline placement, rather than the weather or dates seen in props/computers/phones, as the latter two most likely reflect the filming dates, and they have contradicted each other before. However, I will keep them in mind if they don't contradict anything.

-Daredevil S1: first/last few months of the year.
Reason: In DD 2x10, which takes place in November, Fisk recalls meeting Matt at an art gallery several months ago.

-Jessica Jones S1: a few months after DDS1.
Reason: In JJ 1x13, Claire compares Jessica to Daredevil, meaning this takes place after DD S1.

-Daredevil S2: summer-December 24, several months after DDS1.
Reason: There's a heat wave at the beginning of the season, and DD 2x13 ends during Christmas Eve.

-Luke Cage S1: November-December, several months after DDS1.
Reason: In LC 1x08, Mariah invites Priscilla to Founder's Day Lunch, which is on November 30 in Harlem. Same time of year as DD S2.

-Iron Fist S2: 1 year after DDS1.
Reason: In LC 1x13, Claire is interested in joining Colleen's dojo, which she does in this season.

-The Defenders: 1 year after DDS1.
Reason: Culmination of all the previous seasons. In DD 3x01, which begins weeks after Matt's assumed death, Father Lantom tells him that Elektra has been dead for months (since DD 2x13).

-The Punisher S1: November-December, 1 year and several months after DDS1.
Reason: In TP 1x04, Curtis says it's November. In TP 1x09, Ori says it's been a year since Punisher terrorized NYC, meaning this is a year after DD S2.

-Jessica Jones S2: April-May.
Reason: In JJ 2x03, Foggy is working for Hogarth, Chao and Benowitz, implying this is before Matt returns. In JJ 2x06, Nichelle tells Malcolm it's 3 months until she gets her master's degree.

-Luke Cage S2: August-September.
Reason: In LC 2x05, Misty gets a prosthetic arm after losing it in TD 1x08. Foggy is working for Hogarth, Chao and Benowitz, implying this is before Matt returns. In LC 2x11, Misty mentions it's the West Indian Day Parade, which is held on Labor Day. Priscilla says that Karen Page asked about a living witness, implying this is before she gets fired from the New York Bulletin in DD 3x07.

-Iron Fist S2: fall/winter(?).
Reason: In IF 2x03, Danny and Colleen discuss about how Matt asked Danny to protect New York, implying this is still when Matt is presumed dead. In IF 2x09, the Spring Fair, which occurs on Chinese New Year (January 21-February 21) is being planned, meaning this is before that. Misty still has her prosthetic arm from Luke Cage S2.

-Daredevil S3: fall/winter, 2 years after DDS1.
Reason: In DD 3x05, Donovan says Fisk gave the DEA an early Christmas, implying this is before then. Karen says she hasn't seen Matt in months. In 3x11, Donovan says that Fisk has been in jail for 2 years.

-The Punisher S2: 2 years and several months after DDS1.
Reason: In TP 2x07, a flashback shortly after TP 1x13 is labeled as "One Year Ago".

-Jessica Jones S3: spring, 3 years after DDS1.
Reason: In JJ 3x03, Trish tells Jessica that she's trained for a year. In JJ 3x08, Wallace mentions Jessica fighting a female serial killer last year.

Will continue to update later.

Could be May too, but yeah, I agree. Works better with the weather, too.

The Punisher Season 2 Timeline Placement (No Spoilers)
So, Episode 7 features a calendar which while a little hard to make out seems to be for May 2018. The month begins on a Tuesday and features holidays on the 13th and 28th (Mothers Day and Memorial Day) just like May 2018. Yes, the scene most likely filmed in May but I think it could easily work. Having Season 2 start in late April and it's May by Episode 7 could work weather wise and it also fits with the promo. This does affect Infinity War, Ant-Man & The Wasp, and the back part A.O.S. Season 5's placements. But I think if Ant-Man & The Wasp is worked around the April 30th date seen in the movie and Infinity War is placed somewhere later in May or June, it could easily work.

How does everyone feel about the MCU Wiki explanation of May 2018? I feel like we have a couple options, but just throwing that out there. The epilogue would technically be post-snap, but it's so short I think it could work.

This was already suggested, but while the calendar does indeed fit with May 2018, it doesn't specifically say the name of the month, which is why I'm unsure about placing it there.

Thanks for the info. I'll remove the Audi commercial once I have the chance to read the book.

Nit picking, but why does a book take precedence over a short film (okay, a commercial, but still) with Tom Holland? Also, all the commercial/film showed was an instructor from a driving school agreeing to pass him. Peter would still have to take his certificate from the course to the DMV to get his license, I'm assuming. (It's also possible he was only taking the test to get his learner's permit--if there's anyone who's gotten their license as a teenager in New York recently, maybe they can chime in?)

It's entirely possible he was going to do that right after the field trip that ultimately ended with him getting dusted, and five years later he hasn't gotten around to officially getting the license yet.

Fair point. I guess I do agree there's not much of a contradiction now that you mention it.

OK, just watched JJ and I believe it must be late January and early February 2018.

- 1 year after season 2 (doesn't have to be exactly 1 year)
- Mother's Day in 6 months: 13th May (again, doesn't have to be exactly 6 months)
- Danny Rand is not in NY
- weather fits, not too warm, not too cold

I was actually thinking somewhere in the November, December, January place myself I think if anything is flexible it would be it being "a year' since last season. The Mother's Day line just feels really specific and I can't really get in a headspace to ignore or adjust it..

Also, just a clarity edit, they never specify that Danny is not in NY, they just mention he is on a sabbatical which could be anything from his second season, because if I recall, he didn't spend a ton of time at Rand

Am I the only one that just never even considered the Audi commercial to be canon. Like...it's a commercial...I know that sounds condescending, but like, at no point did I consider any of these commercials to be canon works.
