Does anyone else firmly agree that DD S3 occurs in early 2017?

Yeah, i guess.
If DD3 were in 2018, that's too big of a gap after Defenders if we're leaving it in 2016. I think it has to be early 2017, even though I'd really like it to take place in November for the election.
I think this is the best way to line out the Netflix stuff now. I haven't gone over it with a fine toothed comb, so this might be way off but:
Leave DD, JJ, DD2 and LC where they are.
IF early 2016 coinciding with Chinese New Year.
Defenders one month later.

LC2 August-September 2016
Punisher November 2016
IF2 early 2017
DD3 March 2017
Punisher 2 September 2017
JJ3 (assuming) October 2017
I know it's not ideal. But I think it's the only way to work around Matt's assumed death.

That's another potential layout I was also thinking about. The only thing I disagree on is the placement of Jessica Jones S2, as it mentions the car accident that killed Jessica's parents was 17 years ago (in season 1, it was 15 years ago), which means it would have to take place in 2017.

I think we should just try to fit The Punisher S2 in 2018. Everything else is pretty definitive.

Yeah I knew there would be booboos.
But you also have the fact JJ2 treats Defenders and season 1 as super recent, so it does fix that.
I also wonder if Turk Barrett would mess that sequencing up. His appearance in Punisher S1 was fairly inconsequential.
And mainly, we'd also need to run it against AOS seasons 3 and 4, as well as Cloak and Dagger.

As long as DD S2 and by extension LC S1 (has to be before AoS S4) is before AoS S3: Watchdogs that works. Cloak & Dagger has to be before LC S2.
I remember there being a lot of back and forth about placement for C&D. Obviously we settled on February because of Mardi Gras, but is the year flexible? Could 2015 or 16 work?
There was inconsistency regarding the year, but most of the later episodes had props indicating it takes place in 2017 or 2018. Since Loeb said the shows take place before IW, Luke Cage S2 was pushed back to August-September 2017, therefore pushing back Cloak & Dagger to early 2017 as well.

Well...didn't Iron Fist S2 also mention something about Danny still taking over for Matt Murdock or that he was still missing?
In episode 3:
Colleen: "It's ever since Matt Murdock asked you to keep his torch burning."
Danny: "He told me to protect his city."
So that implies he's still missing, otherwise Colleen would mention Matt's presence as another reason for Danny not to go out for fights all the time.

Moving Iron Fist back a year would mess up Defenders and Jessica Jones S2's places in the timeline...

What about Mariah/ Wilson Fisk's lawyer? Was he working for all of them at the same time? Or was he working for Fisk after Mariah/ Shades couldn't afford him anymore, and then he came back later? Does this help/ affect the timeline placement?

No not really, but he seems to spend an awful long amount of time with each of his clients.
Yeah, I forgot his name. Funny how Daredevil had three Bens, two Bills, and three Rays. Big Ben, Ben Ulrich, Ben Poindexter (Bullseye, I guess, haven't gotten that far yet), Billy Russo, William Rawlins, Ray Schoonover, Ray Nadeem.
I think I would rather do that, to be honest. The only problem is the Spring Fair commitee from episode 9. Maybe we could say they're planning it months in advance. The 1/2/2018 date from a computer also, but I'm willing to ignore those if it becomes absolutely necessary.
Does a non-specific late 2017 placement for both of them sound okay?

It's either that or we give them the benefit of the doubt and say Matt never told anyone of his recovery. Maybe he's not running around in a Devil costume so everyone assumes he's a different vigilante. If we have to, Iron Fist should be moved back.
If anyone has any evidence of The Punishers day/month, but in the year 2018, that could narrow it down.
The calendar in one of the episodes (7?) is on a 31-day month that starts on Tuesday and ends on Thursday. This matches with May 2018. There seem to be holidays marked on the 13th and the 28th, which in May 2018 would be Mother's Day and Memorial Day respectively.
With this information, I'm willing to place Punisher S2 in May 2018, but I'm waiting for Endgame to come out before deciding on it, since Punisher S2 is pre-Snap.
