Lost *spoilers*

Juliet is interesting to me... She is the emotional outlet to the Others, to make them seem more human, you know? They've done some pretty savage things in the past and now that we know that are at least supposed to be civilized leaves questions to be answered. The way Juliet has been written makes me think that she'll be the way we'll get a lot of answers out of the Others' character, like who ARE the Others?

She doesn't make them seem more human at all. She's just an example of the Others' callous egotism.

Perfect example: She comes into Kate's room. Kate attacks her. She knocks Kate down an gets all pouty. "Boo hoo, I'm so the victim here. I was just bringing you food.". Hey, Juliet, ever thought that maybe Kate wasn't attacking you because you were coming into the room, but because you kept her captive in a cage for a week? Or are on a team with a guy who kidnapped Claire, nearly killed Charlie, actually killed Scott, and would've killed more and more if Charlie hadn't stepped up and shot him? Could that be the reason, you sobbing emo skank?

That being said, she was tolerable in tonight's episode. However, I have little doubt she'll turn out to be a mole for the Others, just like Ethan and Henry turned out to be.

The best part of tonight's episode was the redemption of Sawyer. Just a beautiful idea. I love it when the show pulls out stuff I've never thought about before, and this was a prime example. It's also great that they seem to have taken the hint about how Hurley should be in as many episodes as possible this season.

All in all, a very good episode. The Black Smoke hitting the fence was awesome, but it still leaves me aching for more. I can't blame them for using it sparingly though, it's obviously the most mysterious thing about the entire series so far. I wonder what Juliet saw in those flashes from it? Probably the same types of things Eko saw, but what specifically?

I can't wait for the next episode, its about time somebody directly tries to get answers from the Others. Everytime they interact I just want to scream "WTF is going on!".

I was going to right those same words, Slim. The way he does business should probably be reason enough to have, next season, a spin-off series called "Sayid". I would definitely watch.

Also, the episode was a good characater-builder... The concept, even in Ben's mind, is to put the least likely people together in handcuffs to create tension when they arrive at the beach. Clever, I know. I know.

...And, uh, Locke?! This was sort of disconcerting... I'm honestly worried about which direction his character is taking. I suppose he'll come back to the beach to stir things up, knowing his role with some of the characters on the beach already... It could be interesting to have Locke become one with the island and the Others. I'm terrified that I won't like it, eager to see it. I know.

So...

3.5/5

My sister and I were speculating about who the flashbacks would be about in this year's finale(we don't read spoilers....and if you know, please don't say), and we figure that it will probably be Ben, but also maybe Rousseau, Alex, Michael & Walt, or even Ethan(although I doubt it will be Ethan).

But we also had a really cool idea. A Vincent episode where we see everything he's seen and get to hear all the conversations he's overheard since landing on the Island. How awesome would that be? The dog's spent more time in the jungle than anyone. Who knows all the cool and question-answering stuff he's encountered. For all we know he shares a cave with the Black Smoke.

That is actually a clever idea

That's def happening 4th season

Everyone and their mother has thought up that Vincent idea.

Is it just me or do you guys think that Juliet's been left behind to be a mole for the others? Or do you really think they've ditched her permanently?

Either way, it was a good episode. I still hate Juliet though.

Oh yeah, and I was thinking that the sonic fence thing was designed to keep the smoke monster out. Was it just me or did that thing sound more "animal" in this episode as well?

I didn't really give thought to that, but if they left her permanently, wouldn't they have thought to search for the key in her pocket so she wouldnt try to escape? And the knife?

Then there's the "I left us cuffed together because I didn't want to be left behind again." I wonder why they even left Jack and Sayid in the little village and then Kate and Juliet outside in the woods.

This seems to be leaning more towards as a mole kind of deal, but we'll see. Still, I like Juliet.

She's either a mole or she has been affected by living with the others, she has come to start using mind trick in order to survive among them. But what would be the point of a mole, what else would they want with the other castaways? Also remember she was almost sentence to execution and was set to leave a few episodes ago. I think maybe the Others are stepping up their plans now that they have Locke and decide to just leave the rest because A. there's no need to keep them or kill them, and B. they don't want them following. So they left Kate and Juliet out cause they knew that Kate would of returned for Jack and Sayid (so their nice suburban house wouldn't have corpses if they returned) and Juliet so that she wouldn't know where they went. And Juliet decides to play mind games because thats all she knows now being on the island so she would be able to survive.

I've heard about the Vincent idea since the very beginning... Originally, Vincent was actuall supposed to be the focal point of the first season finale. It is a very interesting concept and it would be able to tie up a number of small loose ends pertaining to a character's actions that I would definitely like to see written out and used in the show.

Juliet is left behind... There is a chance that she is still loyal to the Others, but I do doubt it. She was going to be released and allowed to return home, however, now that there is no sub, no way home, she is useless to the Others... She committed murder, which she was punished for and is now feeling the reprecussions of that.

The supposed upcoming flashback episodes:

3.16 Juliet Burke
3.17 Desmond Hume
3.18 Jin & Sun Kwon
3.19 Jack Shephard
3.20 Karen & Gerald DeGroot
3.21 Charlie Pace
3.22-23 Benjamin Linus

VERY interesting.

All I know is that next week's episode should be REAL interesting and we'll have more things to follow. Look's like the rest of the season is going to open a lot of things up...

I was really hoping we would learn more about Ben and Locke. I think their story will be the most interesting.

I like Sayid's attitude about Juliette.

There will most likely be a huge pay-off when it comes time to see what's up with Locke's daddy.

I have a theory...

Locke shortly returns to the beach to collect up Sawyer. He explains to him that he has someone he needs to meet, his father, and that the Others have a surprise for him. Turns out, this is when we find out that Locke's father is the actual Sawyer who destroyed our beloved Sawyer's family/life. It would be a trippy, emotional ride for the characters involved and for the audience.

It was a good episode. Not great, but good.

I liked the con that Hurley played on Sawyer.

And Sayid is one of the biggest badasses.

We finally got confirmation this episode that the "Cerberus" on the Blast Door Map does indeed meen The Monster, since, during the whole scene where Smokey tried to get through the sonic fence, it definitely had three different heads.

Proof: Pics

Anybody else catch the password that turned on the fence? "1623" :)

Next week looks amazing, what with all the guest stars I've heard about....
