Lost *spoilers*

Last night's episode was very interesting. It didn't move the story forward, but it did hint a lot about the island.

I'd say that this fits nicely with my theory about the island. I think the island exists outside of time and space. Therefore, what Desmond experienced when he turned the key was the same kind of phenomenon. His conscienceness existed outside of that time and space. That's how he's been seeing the future and that's how he lived his life over again, but, as they said, the universe has a way of correcting itself, that's why he couldn't change his life.

Some coolness...

During Desmond's flash, he ran into Charlie playing Oasis' "Wonderwall". Ironically, enough, in the song there's a line that goes, "I said maybe, you're gonna be the one that saves me," blah blah blah. Turns out Desmond was the one that saved Charlie...

Just thought that was neat.

I personally like the theory that Desmond didn't time travel. Instead, when he had the near death experience, because of some phenomenon on the island, he's able to predict what the outcome of any of his actions will be.

The flashback was just him mentally experiencing one of the infinite possibilities his life could have taken, and realizing that every single one will lead him to the island.

I'm pretty sure he's had the photo since the beginning.

That's actually really cool.

The ending made the whole episode.
I agree.

I was under the expression that the old woman was the island.

Right on, brutha. Tha's what I think, too.

Another 5/5 for this episode, which is now in my Top 10.

Here's this week's theory and this week's bevy of Easter Eggs.

But here's some REALLY SAD NEWS:

LOST only managed to attract 12.7 million viewers last night, by far its worst ratings yet. Episode 6 attracted 17 million; episode 8, 15 million; this one? NOT EVEN 13. This is very bad news.....

If this is cancelled, I will kill thousands of people.

I enjoyed it. It was a very interesting episode, and confused the hell out of me. I think it's going to make a whole lot of people drop Lost though, as it'll be too confusing.

Reading this thread made me hate it though. Seriously, if you're one of those people who brag about something that may not even be true, I hate you already.

NO **** it's attracting less viewers, the 10 o'clock timeslot move was a horrible idea.

I'm thinking about dropping it

Well if it stayed at 9pm, going up against American Idol, which what? Only lasts a half hour (or has it not yet gone to that point?), would it still be loosing viewers?

I agree. The reason why the people aren't watching anymore is because it's on too late. I don't care that it's on at 10, but others definitely would.

Put it on at 8 again.

Okay I finally saw the episode and here's my thoughts. It seems pretty obvious this wasnt actual time travel, he said himself this was a coma/dream. And his predicting the future isnt because he's caught in some sort of time loop, but he simply has visions. Remember he says when he turned the fail safe key his saw flashes of his entire life, but they didnt stop. Like when Locke told of Eko's death we saw him get a vision and once it finished he went to action.

Now what I want to know is why does it only seems he know how Charlie was going to die and about Locke's speech but not Eko's death? Why just those and not the other? But I think Desmond will be key in Dharma's exerpiment. I recall the video from the lost experience game they said the Dharma initiative was to change the six numbers, if they cant than mankind is doomed. I think the button experiement was to see if the men who are assigned their fate can change it. In his dream Desmond gives into fate but at the very end decides to go against it. He may be the key to changing those numbers, to chance the fate of mankind. I think he's going to die in trying to save the world, just how in his flash back he saved the bartender but took the hit himself. He's gonna pull a Jesus

If it going up against American Idol at 9pm is a problem, why not a different night then? Maybe Sunday nights, 8 or 9pm. Even Tuesdays or Thursdays would suit it well.

The worst episode in recent memory.

Jack's temper has become a detriment to his character. We get the fact that he is a flawed leader... Now, let's move on to another interesting characteristic that'll show us more to this guy than just stubborness. Tonight, I felt his character take a step back... I mean, the reason he's got a tattoo is because of...? Can anyone tell me? All he did was ask what that Chinese chick did... She "defines" people... So, he asks her to mark him... He gets beat up and that's it. Where was the real reason why he was in Thailand in the first place? I didn't like that at all...

...And where were the answers to these three biggest mysteries? Cindy shows up to watch something, but what? That appearance did nothing for me. What Karl said about the children, like what they did with them, doesn't matter... We could've guessed that.

...

So annoying.

I agree, it just didnt work for me. Wasnt a good episode, what saved it for me was the hot asian chick.
