Lost *spoilers*

Disappointing cliffhanger.
I was surprised by it, but yes, it was diappointing. It sucks that now we have to wait 4 months for it to come back. Just like the end of a season (like GW saying "season finale).

4 months waiting to see more such as the patch-eye man. I hope they dwell on him more on the returning episode.

Mal has real problems with women drugging him, doesn't he? And how will he play out in future episodes? This backstory was flawed, and sucked, hardcore.

The dynamic between Sawyer and Kate, crap. Sawyer was much better being the bad boy I hate everyone we all know and love.

Locke is now going to head north it seems

Kate's back story was there just to show that she has trouble with commitment... which I think most of us realized anyway. A waste of time. If they want to do some back stories, they should get to work on Nikki and Paulo and try to make us have ANY interest in them at all. Not knowing who Patch is, it might be interesting to connect one of their back stories to him, but I won't hold my breath.

Desmond is going to explain what happened to him! Hooray! I'm still keen on some variation of time travel, but we'll hopefully know for sure. You know, it's kind of a shame they went this way with Desmond. He was already interesting. If they had done this to Nikki and Paulo it would have given them an interesting angle AND it would have neatly explained why they weren't active the first two seasons but now they're getting involved.

There are a lot of questions that were raised...

1.) Who is Jacob?
2.) What is the relationship Alex has with Ben?
3.) What does Eko's stick inscription mean to Locke?
4.) Where is Ms. Klugh?
5.) How is the cliffhanger going to sort itself out? Jack is unaware that the HYDRA is an entirely different island and the Others, I am certain, did not expect that to happen...
6.) Will Ben survive?
7.) How will Patch weigh into all this?
8.) Where is Carl?
9.) What's up with Desmond?
10.) What are the divisions in the Others? Juliet and Ben both have followers, it seems...

It was a good episode, The Kate story was useless and not needed. I'm board with the whole "Others" thing, it feels like almost nothing has progressed with that and we are just now moving forward. I'm much more interested in Locke and the rest of the castaways. Overall it was good but not good enough to hold me over

Decent episode. I liked that Jack basically sacrificed himself to save Kate and Sawyer. I'm not sure why the nicking of the artery was needed, though. If at any point Jack stopped the surgery and refused to continue, Henry/Ben would die. I guess that was there to create tension.

I can't believe we have to wait until February for new episodes. It'll be hard to get through, but they say it'll continue straight through to the season finale after that, though.

It was to create a more urgency towards the Others. Cause if he'd just refuse Ben would be around for another week. If he was going to die in an hour they would have to comply immediately

I thought the obvious decision was to make Ben let them go at the beginning of the surgery, then not finish until they were free. He should have agreed to that.

Maybe Jack wanted to put the pressure on the others since Ben can handle it pretty well. Thus he gets the operation going and THEN makes demands. Also, if Jack sees himself as sacrificing himself for Kate and Sawyer, he could be planning to get them free and then just let Ben die.

Jack can't trust the Others... Any of them. If he tried to bargain with them, they'd only slight it so that they would ultimately have the advantage. Since Ben left his life up to Jack, finally giving our prized leader of the Losties an opportunity...

Thing is, he's not aware he's on an entirely different island and having Kate and Sawyer run would be useless.

Anyone watch Daybreak? Or the commercials during Daybreak? There were supposed to be clips of the February opener... They will be showing teaser clips throughout this show's run until Season 3 returns.

Also, a character named Dave is supposed to be showing up in Hurley's flashbacks... Libby's husband, perhaps? He's supposed to be a Latino man in his 40's. Read that offa Spoiler Fix.

Anyone just interested in discussing?

Dave was the man Hurley was hallicinating about in the last season.

...And a different Dave was married to Libby. I'm pretty sure they are two different characters. From what I understand, they are getting another actor, a Latino, to play "Dave" in an upcoming Hurley-centric episode.

The next episode is a Juliet flashback, and will be about her back in the "real world". Apparently Kate and Sawyer attempt to flee, and Juliet shoots someone.

The episode after that is either going to be a Jack episode about his time in Thailand, or a Desmond or Charlie episode set in London. The episode after this is whatever one it isn't.

The 10th episode is a Hurley episode, called "Tricia Tanaka is Dead". Weird title...

Hmmm. Libby was in the same institution as Hurley even thought he doesn't remember it. Could his imaginery Dave have been based off of her husband Dave, perhaps when he came to visit? Of course, the imaginery Dave was NOT Latino, but the writers do love their coincidences...
