As an adaptation of the storyline from the comic, whether or not Spawn, Youngblood, etc show up or not doesn't matter in the grandscheme of the show.

If I were to headcanon a hypothetical "Image Animated Universe":

Savage Dragon (1994-1995) to Spawn (1997):

I guess if you wanted to tie the Savage Dragon cartoon to Spawn's cartoon, there's a mention in the very first episode (of Spawn) of a congressional scandal 3 years prior.

1994. Nothing in the real world, but the Savage Dragon cartoon's "Dragonsmasher" episode involved a corrupt congressional member that attracted some supervillain plot.

Spawn (1997) to Firebreather (1997/2013):
The Kaiju War "16 years ago" is the Armageddon teased at the end of Spawn and the demonic Kaiju start coming out the Earth causing havoc.

Firebreather to Invincible (early 2000s):
The end of the the Kaiju War was in part thanks to new heroes, formerly "freaks" (metas in the Image Comics universe, according to Savage Dragon), leading to the birth of the Guardians of the Globe.

Invincible (2020s) to Witchblade anime (2100s):
That far future with The Immortal King is

inevitable, in some form. Without Invincible or other heroes protecting Earth, the Great Quake occurs in Japan in the 2100s causing more destruction.
