I'm almost done with the first season. Does the second maintain the awesomeness of the first, or does it fall flat like so many sitcoms do? I'm wondering if it's worth downloading. I mean buying.

I haven't seen all the episodes, but I like it better than the first season.

The second season is Season 1's Awesomeness....squared.

Once they got the greenlight that they were picked up for a second season they let loose with the hilarity.

Plus Season 2 spawned the greatness that is "Slap Bet". And Barney's One-Man Play.

Oh man, I just bought the first season on DVD, and I must say, I forgot all about the hilarity of the licking the Old Shirt episode.

I finished up Season one this morning. I'm pretty irritated by Lily being written out and Robin and Ted dating. Lily actually seemed to have a purpose in the show...Robin is just the generic "girlfriend" character that every sitcom has. I really hope she dies...or something.

I found the one where Ted and Amy. It's up on the official website. You just have to click where it says "Missed an episode?" in the right side. Then click the words 'How I Met your Mother' where it says"Comedy > How I Met your Mother". Then on Promos.

Now, Trudy in the Pineapple incident is the girl from Wonder Years.

They should have an episode where Ted meets up with ehr again and her boyfriend is Fred Savage, and turns out to be a bully from Barney's life when he was a hippy

I just rewatched the greatness of the Pineapple Incidet, Wedding and The Limo episodes.

I'm so showing up at someone's house at five in the morning holding up a boombax and playing, "Straight Through the heart!"

It always rises, there shouldn't be rise and falls, but always rises.

Where did the pineapple come from?

When I watch this, I see varying characters of me in the cast. When I just got out of college, I was Ted, later on for a brief time I was Barney and now, I'm Marshall.

That's what makes this show awesome, all the characters have depth, more than the Friends characters ever had

So, things we got to look forward to in this season based of off the information in the first two seasons.

Ted's 30th birthday party, which includes the goat in the bathroom
Barney's Brother getting married. Ted wasn't seen with a girl then, just Robin.

Anything else I've missed?

Barney is, essentially, who I want to be when I grow up. I spent the whole first season just thinking "He's awesome".

And then I saw his life-sized Storm Trooper and professionally lit porno collection. And I thought to myself; That's who I want to be!

There's a great article about Season 3 in EW's Fall TV Preview issue, including an exclusive photo of the cast just for EW. The writer of the article explains how HIMYM is basically the perfect sitcom.


Disc 2 of Season 1 is coming in the mail tomorrow. I can't wait.
