I've decided that movie Hal would look much better if they left a ring of exposed skin between his eyes and the inside ring of the mask. I just think it looks a bit weird the way it is now. I don't know why the green has to go to the edges of his eyes.

I had a dream last night where I saw Green Lantern and it turned out to be amazing. I don't remember anything specifically about it except it was epic and very emotional.
Also, they just cast Geoffrey Rush to voice Tomar-Re.

There are also rumors that Michael Clark Duncan will voice Kilowag.
Additionally, word from those who have seen additional scenes from the movie is that the CGI suit is much improved and that the overall movie looks a lot better than the trailer would lead you to believe. I have faith that this movie is going to be good.

Now that's a trailer! I'm actually a little excited for this now. I still really don't like the suit as a second skin concept, it looks fine some of the time but when they light up it just looks stupid. When they're just standing around I kind of like it, though I wish they kept a uniformal texture than make it look different on each species. It just reminds me of that rubber venom/spawn look that I hate having on GL.
Still this trailer had that feeling GL movie should have. Before I thought this was just going to blow now I think it will be enjoyable.

Okay.
This trailer makes the story look much better and far more interesting. Especially since it seems that Hector Hammond is a small McGuffin type thing that Parallax devours in order to attack Earth. It seems epic and huge in a way that IRON MAN wasn't. This is good.
Unfortunately, I think it looks atrocious. The CGI lantern suits are just... it looks like a bad version of AVATAR and I thought they looked rubbish too. Using CGI instead of rubber prosthetics is a big mistake. All of them are far too lit up, the shadows on their faces are all wrong. They don't look alien, they look fake. To put it another way; STAR WARS' animatronic puppets looked more convincing. It just looks so very bad.
But, as I say, the story looks a ton better and so I'm more interested to see it now than I was before.

Parallax looks awesome, besides that, i agree pretty much with Bass. Sinestro especially looks fake.
But I now have some hope for the movie to be good.

Great trailer - I'm excited for this.
But I totally agree about Sinestro looking too fake and the crappiness of the "second skin" idea for the suits. It looks terrible.
Especially if you look at it in contrast with Darwyn Cooke's designs in DC: The New Frontier. I guess these make more sense than a green jump suit but they still look bad.

You know upon reflecting I'm starting to like the suit. There's just a few things keeping me from really enjoying it. The muscle suit look does work but if they change the contours to an cool design I think it would look great when lit up. Also they need to add some weight to it, specially at the neck line having it skin tight like that messes with your eyes, he lack looks too big for it or something. Plus the color is a bit too vibrant and they don't jell well with the live action shots, same with Sinestro his skin is too simple, almost no shadows, textures, or any slight color changes actual skin has. I honestly think the idea of CGI could have been awesome if not for some small design ideas that really ruin it.
At the very least I don't think it will bother me as much when I go see it.

I thought the aliens and their suits, Sinestro included, look pretty good. He looks weird, but not fake. He looks like what a pink alien with a mustache and widow's peak would look like.
While Hal's suit is much improved, it still looks a bit off where the suit meets his skin. Hopefully, they will fix this in the time remaining until the film comes out.

In general I think the look looks like DARKKNIGHT said - "weird", not exactly just "fake". It actually looks like it could give the film the kind of really unique, energetic, alien look it needs to stand out and even be a classic of the genre. If the rest of the film is immersive, I think the weirdness will work for it, not against it.

I'm gonna disagree with you on that one. Seeing all of the Lanterns together just makes it feel so much more expansive. It makes them look like an actual Corp from across the universe. And I thought Kilowog and Tomar Re looked especially great.
