Murdoc burns down Kong Studios. He blames it on the kids, who were not careful with fire. Niccals then decides to start selling fake guns (he repaints old guns with new colors). Everything goes well, untill he sells some of those guns to Black Cloud Pirates, who were not pleased and they later decide to hunt him down. Murdoc escapes from them to the Point Nemo, where he finds the beach, that consists of plastic. He names it Plastic Beach.

Murdoc decides to return to the Gorillaz business. He replaces Noodle with her cyborg clone, using her DNA and Russell with drum machine. The only thing he can't replace, however, is the vocals of 2D. So, he doesn't consider anything better, than to make deal with the demonic creature known as Boogyman to get him 2D. Boogyman finds and gasses him, after which Stuart ends up on Plastic Beach.
