This is my version of the timeline for the virtual band known as Gorillaz. From the times befores phases and through Phase 1 to Phase 2.
Events before phases
1966
June 6
Murdoc Alphonse Niccals (who later changed his middle name to Faust), the Gorillaz future bassist is born to the unknown woman and Sebastian Jacob Niccals as his second son at Stocke-on-Trent. Sebastian discovers baby Murdoc after the night of drinking at the bar.
1968
March 23
Damon Albarn, the vocalist for Gorillaz from real life is born at Whitechapel, England.
April 3
Jamie Hewlett, the comic book artist and the man responsible for Gorillaz animation in music videos is born at Hawarden, Wales.
1975
June 3
Russell Hobbs, the future Gorillaz drummer is born at Brooklyn, USA.
1978
May 23
Stuart Harold Tusspot, the future Gorillaz vocalist 2D is born at Hertfordshire, England. His father later changes the family surname to Pot, so his son won't be bullied at school.
1990
October 31 (Halloween day)
Noodle, the Gorillaz future guitarist is born at Osaka, Japan.
Phase 1
1997
August 15
Stuart's Pot life changes forever after Murdoc breaks into his uncle store where he was working and accidentally hits him in one of the eyes, as the result of which he has trauma and put in hospital. Since Niccals was the one responsible for the accident, he is ordered to take care for Stuart.
1998
Unknown date
Instead of taking care, Murdoc decides to take Stuart for spin in his car. As the result of this, Stuart's other eye gets injured too. Stuart's eyes becomes absolutely black and Murdoc is impressed by his look. Later, he also decides to make him vocalist for his band.
September
Murdoc buys the record studio known as Kong, which is placed near the graveyard. Rumors says, that this area inhabited by ghosts and demons.
Later, Murdoc band record their first song Ghost Train. The other Gorillaz members at this time is Russell Hobbs (whom Murdoc kidnapped) and Paula Cracker (girlfriend of 2D). Paula, however, is later fired due to having affairs with Murdoc.
1999
Unknown date
Murdoc, Russell and 2D meets Noodle, who replaces Paula. She is the Japanese girl, who suffers from amnesia. She is found in the box. She knows only one English word noodle and that's why she's named that.
2000
November 27
Gorillaz releases their first music video Tomorrow Comes Today.
2001
March 5
Gorillaz releases their first single from their first self-titled studio album and their second music video Clint Eastwood. It is featuring Del the Ghost Rapper (who's vocals in real world are provided by Del the Funky Homosapian). Del is the ghost of one of Russell murdered friend, who inhabits his body.
March 26
Gorillaz fully releases their first self-titled studio album.
June 25
Gorillaz releases their second single from their first self-titled studio album 19-2000. It is featuring Tina Weymouth.
October 22
Gorillaz releases their third single from their first self-titled studio album Rock the House. It is again features Del the Ghost Rapper.
December 12
Gorillaz releases their first compilation album G-Sides in Japan.
2002
March 12
Tomorrow Comes Today becomes Gorillaz fourth single from their self-titled studio album.
July 1
Gorillaz releases their remix album Laika Come Home. The only single from this album is Lil Dub Chefin, which is the remix of M1 A1.
During the same year, Gorillaz disbands for some time after the failed attempt to create the film. Murdoc went to Mexica, where he later got arrested and met the raven Cortez. 2D met with a lot of celebrities and worked at his father's place. Russell left to deal with Del. Noodle went to Japan to learn the truth behind her past.
Phase 2
2003
October 27
After learning her past, Noodle returns to Kong Studios and after clearing it from zombies, she decides to record Gorillaz second studio album.
2004
December 8
Gorillaz releases their first music video after two years, Rockit. Although this song is not featured on their second studio album, it was released as part of D-Sides.
2005
May 10
Gorillaz releases their first single and music video from their second studio album Feel Good Inc. It is featuring De La Soul.
May 15
Gorillaz releases their second studio album Demon Days.
August 29
Gorillaz releases their second single from their second studio album DARE. It is featuring Shawn Ryder.
November 21
Gorillaz releases their third single from their second studio album Dirty Harry. It is featuring Booty Brown.
December 26
Gorillaz MTV Cribs episode is filmed. Murdoc shows MTV crew their house (Kong Studios).
2006
March 11
Gorillaz releases music video for their song El Maniana. In this video, Noodle is attacked by helicopters, while being on the floating island. It was Murdoc plan to get rid of Jimmy Manson, obsessive Gorillaz fan, who wanted to avenge them for rejecting. He trapped Jimmy inside windmill on the island.
April 10
El Maniana becomes single along with Kids With Guns.
October 26
Gorillaz releases their autobiography book Rise of the Ogre.
2007
November 19
Gorillaz releases their second compilation album D-Sides.
During the same year, Gorillaz disbands for the second time. Because of what happened to Noodle, 2D and Russel want to get away from Murdoc.
