Also, I should have actually voted Other, as I love A Song of Ice and Fire!

That said, my passion for it cools as Martin's rate of getting new work to the masses makes Millar/Hitch look downright weekly!

grumble...already written most of DwD my ***!
You totally lost me. Which books or author do you speak of?
And Walker Boh was awesome

Walker Boh > Allanon

Allanon was just Dark Gandalf. Gandalf with an attitude.

...

Rob Liefeld's Gandalf.

Indeed, while Walker Boh possesed Strength, interesting character development, and a giant cat.

A GIANT CAT!

*throws arms up in air*

A GIIIIIIAAAANT CAAAAT!!!!!!!111

Also extra bad-*** points for having only one arm, the other lost to some stone-turney thingey.
Ultimate Houde said:
Having one arm made him even more kickass

OMG Walker Boh should be played by Ron Pearlman in d moviE!!!!
Ultimate Houde said:
ZOMG!

I laughed

No one else will get it
Houde and I totally bonded.

I think I started to hate it halfway through the first now that I think about it. I think the second one I just couldn't get through. The plot was so predictable, the characters were such caricatures and repetitious, and don't get me started about the whole dire wolf thing. Worst plot device I ever read, which is surprising, I usually love books that have animals tied into their owners like that. I know I'm in the minority, but I found the series highly dissatisfying.

Hickman & Weiss' Death Gate Cycle.

Tad Williams' Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn trilogy

Pratchett's Discworld

Oh and anything Ursula Le Guin, Madeleine L'Engle, Mercedes Lackey and most of Anne McCaffery

I am dumb. I voted other. I didn't realize this was just fantasy and thought of my favorite universes and they are all sci fi. Here those are anyway.

Isaac Asimov's Foundation and Robot Universe
C.S. Lewis' Space Trilogy
Orson Scott Card's EnderBeanVerse

Actually, I just thought of my favorite fantasy universe, Orson Scott Card's Alvin Smith Universe. I always dig alternate history stuff so of course I love this retelling of US history. You get to experience Alvin grow up from a boy to a man, by the 4th or so book I felt like he was a real person, more so than any other story I've ever read. Arthur Stuart is one of my favorite characters ever. The explanation of how magic works in this universe is also great.

edit:

Someone should make one of these polls but for science fiction.
