Re: Fantastic 4... cartoon

Thing looks good, and Johny flamed up, too. That is sooo how Reed should NOT look. Sue....meh.

Re: Fantastic 4... cartoon

The art style doesn't bother me so much. The costume design for Reed I can forgive. But you know what really annoys me? The expressions on their faces. I want to reach out and slap them.

Yes, the expressions aren't very good. Would you like a paddle for the slapping?

Re: Fantastic 4... cartoon

With the whole American anime look----all I gotta say is that if the F4 use little weird monsters to do their battling for them........I quit comics.

Re: Fantastic 4... cartoon

Apparently the head writer is Christopher Yost, whose credits include The Batman, X-Men: Evolution and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Not exactly bad cartoons, but hardly remarkable ones.

I think X-Men Evolution is the best of that bunch, and that's saying something considering how disliked it is by hardcore X-Men enthusiasts (whether or not they grew up on the lovably overwrought and high strung 90s animated series)

The Batman is bland and with some questionable reinventions of classic villains that may or may not be callow attempts to avoid comparisons with the Dini/Altieri/Timm series.

And Ninja Turtles just sucked. I'm sorry but Eastman and Laird fail to realize that the 90s turtles phenomenon was pure chance, lightning in a bottle.

No, they will use a combination of spinning tops attached to remote controlled cars while playing down magical cards.

I enjoyed Evolution. I won't lie....I watch the Batman religiously.....but only because I like the fresh looks on a lot of the villians and the Jackie Chan cartoon-like fluid animation on the action. Turtles should've stayed in the past.........

I agree.

And even if it was meant to be a 'clever' play on the whole World's Greatest Comics Magazine!!! blurb that used to headline the old comic, the schtick is too antiquated to work now.

But Beetle played by Keith David? Now that's just crazy. A two-bit technology thief who dresses in a low-flying insect armor played by the voice of Spawn (Spawn: The Animated Series) and Goliath (Gargoyles)? Now that's just lousy casting. That's almost as bad as Rino Romano on Batman. Or Rino Romano in almost anything.

So besides this, are there any other Marvel cartoons coming out. I love teen titans even though I have no DC comics. And who is that Ourchair kid?

Where was the thread that showed the recent conference Marvel had where they had the PDF file of what they had coming?

They showed "Wolverine & the X-Men", "Spider-Man", "Iron Man" and this one (F4) of course. I think that was it...
