Family Guy Discussion (Spoilers)

Re: Family Guy Season 5 (Spoilers)

At first I didn't think Sunday night's was that great, but then the next morning, I was able to remember like 20 of the jokes instead of the usual 2 (for me, at least.. bad memory.). My personal favorite moment: Peter hums the JP theme as the dino eats Quagmire.

Runner Up: "Lois, did you know Evil Knievel was born in Montana?" tied with the Wheel of Fortune/Jeopardy moments.

Re: Family Guy Season 5 (Spoilers)

Tonight, Peter starts writing pornographic novels. If this is half as good as Mr. Garrison's classic "Valley of the Penises", I'll be satisfied.

Y'know, is it just me, or have the new batch of episodes that have aired after the "Volume 3 DVD" been better than the early '05 epsodes on that set?

Re: Family Guy Season 5 (Spoilers)

Apparently, all the episodes talked about in this thread are still a part of Season 4, not Season 5.

Exclusive: A link to the information about the upcoming Volume 4 box set!!

The episodes that are gonna be on it were way better than Volume 3's episodes. Sure, V3 had some great ones, but in the second half of the season, every episode had a lot of winning moments in it.

I'm geeked for this set because there are uncensored commentaries on EVERY episode!! In Volumes 1 and 2, there were a combined total of maybe 10 commentaries, tops, out of the 50 episodes. With Volume 3, there were 10 episodes that had commentary and 3 episodes without. Now, Volume 4 will have 14 commentaries!

I also love that on the DVDs, you can watch episodes uncensored, and hear the characters unbleeped. This is one of those shows that I'd prefer the bleeps, but since they're cartoon characters who we almost never hear say those words (except on the brilliant Family Guy "Live in Vegas" album, and on the not so brilliant Stewie movie), I make it a point to watch the unbleeped versions.

I hope so. They should have it like in the movie.

My copy of the movie's optional bleeping thing doesn't work.

Yes the bleeping is optional. If you press play episode, it plays with the bleeps. If you go to the episode's language selections, you can pick the uncensored version.

Also, something in the link that I just noticed: 44 Deleted Scenes!!

I loved the line, "Once you go black, you go deaf," and the Micheal Jackson Frosted Mini Wheats sketch, "The boy in me likes the frosted mini wheats, and the man in me likes the boy in me."

I like that Drew Barrymore's role (as Brian's dumb girlfriend) is a recurring one; however, the TV Guide that came in the mail today hinted that by next Sunday's episode (the Sunday after this coming Sunday) their relationship could be coming to an end.

Other threads they keep up with continuity-wise are Peter's jobs and Cleveland's break-up with Loretta. Also those Vaudeville guys were recently killed (I think it was by Stewie, too) so we won't be hearing from them again. Confirmation? The Volume 4 DVD commentaries give away that they get offed, though actually, by the time the Box Set was released that episode had already aired.

Finally, did anyone catch the Heroes spoof during the ads for FG? ("Save the Baby, Save the planet") So funny.

This really is the funniest laugh-out-loud show on TV right now. I mean yeah there are other shows that are outstandingly funny like 30 Rock and How I Met Your Mother. But this show delivers each time.....

It also points out just how unfunny Simpsons is. I'm sorry....but they're just not funny anymore. There are a few chuckles here and there....but their time has come and gone and I wish they'd just cancel the show.

On another note----McFarlane's new show "The Winner" just isn't funny. Sorry. Don't expect this show to last long.

Yes, I actually find it hard to watch The Simpsons now. It just isn't enjoyable these days.

My opinion on American Dad (as well as this one).
