DreamMovie #12 - Blistering Idiots...

Sliders Version 2.0

A mini series on Sci-Fi Network.

This version of Sliders begins in the Coporate World, which features our main protagonist, Trevor Brown

Trevor Brown, the young inventor from the Corporate World, has matured and become extremely successful in his home world. Being a billionare, he has decided he needs a new frontier to explore. He remembers the visit of Sliders, and builds his own device to travel between dimensions. He brings his secretary/friend Mona Smithers along for the trip. Trevor Brown will be played by John Kransinski.

Mona Smithers is basically Trevor's Pepper Potts. She's the best secretary/friend he has ever had, and knows that if they sleep together, that will be ruined. Mona will be played by Emma Stone.

Mona and Trevor experiment with the Slider device, and travel to the Dinosaur world. There, they get into trouble, but someone saves them from getting eaten by a T-Rex, that someone is Malcom.

Malcom Eastman was the small black child that befriends Rembrandt in the Dinosaur world. He has grown up into an adventurer, and joins Trevor in his quest to find the original group of Sliders and determine what's happened to them. Malcom will be played by Leonard Roberts.

He mentions how he knew people who use to use those devices, and mentions Rembrandt and Quinn. Trevor asks if Malcom wants to join in their quest to find the original Sliders, and Malcom agrees. The new group travels once more.

Meanwhile, on the Mall world, there is a young man praying at a church for the return of his guardian angels. A portal opens, and out step Malcom, Trevor and Mona. The man introduces himself as Alexander, and tells them that his Mom always told him a story about how the Angels arrived and saved her from the tyranny of the malls. Trevor mentions he knows these people, and Alexander joins the quest to find them.

Alexander Carol was the baby from the Mall World. His mother always told him that Angels came down to save her from a lifetime of debt at the Giant Mall. Alexander joins the group when they mention the names of these Angels. He helps them escape out of the Mall World. Alexander will be portrayed by Riley Smith.

Much like the original Sliders, these new Sliders have a goal in mind, not to find their home dimension, but to find out what happened to the original Sliders. They will travel from world to world, encountering old worlds the Sliders have been too, and even encountering new worlds, worlds the original Sliders never traveled too, all the while gaining clues to the Slider's whereabouts.

The mini will end with them being pursued by the Evil Quinn introduced in the first episode of season three of Sliders. Escaping from her, they will randomly slide into the world of the Blue Gate Bridge. Here, they encounter the original Professor Arturo.

Professor Arturo is the teams first encounter with the original Slider team. He was the original Professor Arturo, the one that the team had left behind unknowingly on Earth Double Prime. Arturo joins the team at the end of the mini series. Returning as Professor Arturo, will be John Rhys Davis.

Professor Arturo, after some explaining about what happened between the time he was replaced and what each of these people know, says he will help this group find the original Sliders.

A couple things different between these Sliders and the originals.

1) Their Sliding Device isn't broken. They can Slide at anytime, to anywhere.
2) They have a base of operations; Trevor's Corporate Headquarters is it. At some point in the series, antagonists can be introduced as Corporate Takeover Businessmen. Even have some of them gain Sliding abilities of their own.
3) The stupid Kromaggs will be forgotten and ignored completely. They were stupid the first time and killed the show. I will not bring them back.

Cool. I like. One question though... If you are ignoring and forgetting the Kromaggs, how will you resolve what happens to Rembrant (End of season 5 he slides to Earth-Prime with a Kromagg killing virus in his blood) and Wade (Taken to Kromagg rape camp at the end of season 3, then used as a Kromagg computer weapon in season 5)? Bearing in mind their goal is to find out what happens to the originals...

Marvel Zombies

In the world of the Ultimates, world renowned scientist Reed Richards (Justin Bartha) gets an urgent message from an alternate universe. Reed is shocked to find that it is an older, more experienced version of him (Gary Sinese). The elder Reed informs him that his universe needs him in order to save his own universe from total destruction. Reed agrees and transports himself to a universe ridden with dead bodies and destroyed buildings. Reed is confronted by the elder Reed, who in turn has a decomposed and skeletal look. Reed is also surrounded by the other members of the Fantastic Four, Invisible Woman (Elizabeth Banks), the Thing (Patrick Warburton) and the Human Torch (Ryan Reynolds.) The older Fantastic Four tell Reed that their world has been plagued by a zombie virus and they plan on branching to the Ultimate Universe to take over that planet. Reed attempts to escape and is saved from the other Zombie Superheroes by Magneto (Sean Bean). The Zombie Fantastic Four break into the Ultimate universe and are confronted by the Ultimate Fantastic Four. The younger Sue (Scarlet Johansson), Ben (Benjamin McKenzie) and Johnny (Justin Timberlake) manage to subdue the Zombies and lock them away in the Baxter Building. The Ultimate Fantastic Four break into the Zombie Universe and attempt to rescue Reed from all of the zombie heroes. Magneto allows them the chance to escape but Johnny is bitten by one of the zombies before they break through to the other side. Magneto is left alone in the Zombie Universe to fend off the heroes. Back in the Ultimate Universe the FF try frantically to find a way to de-zombie Johnny and end up going to Victor Van Damme (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) who goes to the Baxter Building to cure Johnny. The Zombie FF proceed to break free from their confinements and Doom takes them down brutally by beating them to death with his enhanced armor and magical abilities. Doom transports the Zombie FF into the Zombie universe and meets with Magneto who is about to fend off the rest of the Zombie heroes. The two of them look at each other and then charge at the Zombie Heroes. Then the movie ends.

Sure it's not the best movie ever but you know it would be an hour and a half of mindless fun.
