I have a question involving the Doom Patrol timecodes.

Do you think it's too complicated to subtract the recap and intro from the overall run time, for those who want to cross reference the timecodes while watching the show?

Honestly, I can't remember if DIrishB did that with the Netflix shows or not.

Also I'm noticing some continuity errors between Titans and Doom Patrol.

1.) Doom Manor is said to be on Danny Street in Titans. Was Danny just hanging by there when the hunters took notice of the manor's location? To throw off Mr. Nobody's scent?

2.) How could Rita have been in an institution for decades (20 years at least?) if she was already with Niles in the same decade she was mutated? Did she check herself into one after

3.) One I already knew about from the beginning, but the Chief in Titans and the one in Doom Patrol can't possibly be the same individual. But I read a theory on Reddit about the Chief in Titans potentially being the illegitimate son of Niles and Arani (the old lover of Niles from the old Doom Patrol team). Which makes sense I guess...

I don't want to risk separating the two into different timelines based on the fact that the Doom Patrol showrunners are aware of these contradictions and confirmed not too long ago that they're still set in the same world; albeit different "continuities". Whatever that means.

Well, seeing how at one point the Doom Patrol series was depicted as a spin-off, the continuity errors can be worked around and Doom Patrol actually references Titans (Superboy/ Krypto and Raven), I say it's fine. They are in the same DC world, meaning they probably share events, just they don't care about that episode in particular as they prefer to be creative. Regardless, it feels wrong to seperate the timelines.

Other than the recast, why can't Chief be the same Chief?

Both Chiefs not only look nothing alike and have totally different accents, but he gets unparalyzed somehow then paralyzed again... Yeah that's too messy IMO.

Personally, I subscribe to the fan theory that the Chief in Titans is the son of Timothy Dalton's Chief; maybe he takes over for his father while he's away or something along those lines. I'd kind of find it more believable because it would add some development to the (former) relationship between Chief and Arani.

I'll be honest, I understand DC isn't concerned about inter-connectivity too much. I'm all for creative freedom, not trying to come across as a continuity nag. At the same time, if it's in the same world like it was said to be, I hope this gets explained at some point. It doesn't have to be perfect, it's DC after all. They can come up with anything to fix continuity errors and make it work somehow in some 'weird' way. ;)

In Titans, Robot Man states that Chief "just learnt to walk again".

Source: Titans 1x04, "Doom Patrol" (0:14:20)

It's canonical that he couldn't walk, regained his legs, couldn't walk again. I don't think a recast is too much of a big deal. I think they just used the Titans episode as a backdoor pilot, and were willing to recast to get the actor they needed.

Interesting. I definitely don't recall that being in the episode before.

DC probably did a post-release ADR for that particular scene after Doom Patrol came out.

It's quite an interesting thing to mention. Maybe they did, but it was probably already in the episode. It doesn't matter either way.

My theory is that maybe this Bruce Wayne might appear in a 'redone' version of Trigon's false reality for Dick Grayson; which took place "5 years later" in his mind.

Perhaps Raven has to do the same thing to Dick in order for him to overcome his darkness, and we see him confront Bruce (played by Iain Glen) and ultimately forgiving him.
 
The opening scene of Season 5 and the scene at the GCPD barrier in the penultimate episode do not match up at all.

Added "[Pre-Retconned Scene]" next to the Year Zero opening.
 
Changed the month for the Gotham series finale to "March" based on a couple details I noticed on a rewatch.

1.) When the Riddler is watching TV, they specifically say it's been NEARLY a decade since the cataclysm. Obviously it can't be April like the (blurry) newspaper date showed in the Arkham scene. The editors probably made the newspaper blurry for a reason...I'll take the TV news report over that.

2.) Prison sentences last exactly or almost exactly the time given, right? Penguin wouldn't get out 10 years and one month later, but rather 10 years later in the same month I would imagine.
 
Currently watching Lucifer S4.

EDIT: Trixie is reading the first issue of Skyward towards the end of S4 Ep1. That doesn't have to reflect any real world dates (i.e. April 2018) because it's more-or-less just the showrunner's self-promotion.

I'll keep an eye out for anything that sticks out, and wow the cinematography is even better.

Father Kinley tells Chloe that Lucifer has been on Earth for 7 years...So maybe Luci started his vacation around December 2010 at the latest, and "City of Angels" takes place around...January 2011? Giving him some time to adjust to Earth and open Lux?

EDIT2.5: "Summer 2018" <--- on a newspaper clipping of "Lt. Pierce"'s death.

lol no. That throws everything out of whack. Plus I looked closely at everything else on that clipping, the article was mostly copied and pasted sentences. I'll just go with that date just being fake and reflecting the time the season three finale aired.

Aaaand they totally retconned it to being 2019 in S4 E5.

EDIT: There seems to be several months that have passed between S4E5 and S4E6 based on

Linda's pregnancy.

EDIT2: Nope. Consistently dated Wanted posters in S4E7 clarify it's still 2017.

The "2019" date in S4 E5 was more-or-less a profile from a woman with fraud ID; which made it more debatable.
