Well, I just spent Christmas completely alone for the first time ever. Not nearly as depressing as I thought it would be. Still pretty depressing though...

Yeah...the turtle one is weird. The Bella Swans one is actually pretty brilliant.

It gets easier. I've done the holidays alone thing before. I celebrate by watching a marathon of movies and my holiday feast is a Slider Crave Case from White Castle.

Highlights of mine included getting the special edition Miracle on 34th Street DVD (which has the b&w version and the colourised version and the 1994 remake); getting a new netbook and external hard-drive (hello future!), and a smattering of other fun things, including a lovely new leather jacket I bought myself in the sales at work, today. Christmas dinner was epic and the first time in a while where I've actually been really full and satisfied with a meal.

Downside was, I had to be up at 6.30am to go to work today, for the first day of the sales. Obviously that's lightyears away from what Doom is going through (who I really felt sorry for, yesterday), so best wishes to you, bud.

Still haven't watched Wonderful Life. Might do it, today.

I had a Christmas.

Sexynurse had to work, so I went to my parent's house, and helped them get dinner ready. We opened gifts, which I did get some useful/fun ones, but my brother, in is infinite wisdom, managed to give me a gift that I got the previous year, and a gift I got him, a few years back. He really does suck at gift giving.

Won some money, played some games, ate more food, and went home.

Fun time.

I went to church yesterday morning, family cooked, and spent a few hours playing Band Hero and Super Mario Bros. Wii with some friends.


Good times.

My favorite day of the year. Boxing day. Day after christmas. Home from mom's annual xmas party and can relax with leftovers and toys.

A decidedly Nintendo xmas this year.

I got Brutal Legend, some clothes, a Hooters 2010 calender, and some gift cards/money. With the money I ordered the fat hardcover Criminal collecting volumes 1-3, thanks Comic Board Store!

I got Inglourious Basterds, Public Enemies, Zodiac, Trainspotting and Generation Kill on DVD, New X-Men Complete Collection Vol. 2 and 3, The Escapists TPB, iPod dock thing, a NZ diary (I think this is my grandma's way of suggesting I move back to NZ) and a bunch of gift vouchers.

I got Beatles Rock Band, Inglorious Basterds and Up on DVD, a new iPod dock/radio thing, some records, this anthology of comic stories based on Belle & Sebastian songs that I've been wanting for a long time, monay, lots of clothes, lots of gift cards.

It was a much nicer Christmas than expected, in many ways.

I didn't really want anything so my parents did one of those WWF things where an animal(in this case an Orangutan) gets put in a sanctuary and taken care of for life. Other than that just a new set of art pencils and pencil crayons.

I had a pretty good haul too. I got a phone call from my Dad and I bought myself a pack of cigarettes.
