Celebrity Deaths (updated weekly)

WWE.com said:
WWE is saddened by the passing of Lillian Ellison, who was known to sports-entertainment fans as Hall of Famer Fabulous Moolah. She passed away last night in Columbia, S.C.

In the world of women's wrestling, there will always be one irrefutable legend that stands head and shoulders above the rest: The Fabulous Moolah. She was the longest reigning champion in the history of her chosen sport, or any sport for that matter. And with more than 50 years in the business to her credit, she established a legacy that will never be forgotten, making her name synonymous with female wrestling.

R.I.P Moolah

I just want you all to know that I will be taking a week of mourning when Kylie Minogue, Pop Godess dies.

Just saying is all......

Pop Godess.

Redskins safety Sean Taylor.

This is pretty sad because he leaves behind a 1-year old daughter who he had, by all accounts, turned his life around for. He had been in trouble off the field in the past and had cleaned up his act since she was born.

And on a more superficial note, the guy was good. He was tied for the league lead in INTs. He was only at home at the time of the shooting because of an injury; he hadn't joined the Redskins on the road. Sad stuff.

I remember following him at Miami a little because the Lions had some interest in drafting him.

Really sad stuff. Like you said, by all accounts he had turned his life around following the birth of his daughter. It's a real tragedy.

McCheese is actually right on this one
This feels like the wrong place to point out that I'm always right.

But, well... there it is.
He was three years younger than me.

It's weird that athletes are younger than me.
Yeah. Every time I watch the NBA I feel like a loser because I'm wasn't a multi-millionaire by the age of 19.

Don't feel bad. Those poor kids had to make a choice. Either learn to read or learn to do some crazy-And1-NBA Jams-streetball crossover.

So yeah...he's a multi-millionaire that can balance the ball on his head for 23.6 seconds......but he can't read. And his ankles and knees will be busted by 22.

Then he can retire with his multi-millions in the bank, sit down and learn to read by the time he's 25.

And if he ever runs low on cash he could always make some commercials or get into broadcasting.

his knees will be broken when he properly gets served. The world will make a hge deal of it but he will never truly understand. He will be so dumb, he won't even be able to spell his name, just writes sweet looking squigglies or pictures of rappers harassing video vixens because that was cool and he saw it on tv. then he will try to rap, but rappers know how to spell (most i assume) and he will fail. He will try broadcasting but since he can't read the teleprompt, a ways to the unemploymeny line we will go. He would like to do commercials, but nobody wants a stupid guy to represent them unless it's for the new brain age game. after that he's smoove.

Wrong.

If he had taken the time to learn to read, he'd have known that his contract only gives him $75,000 the first 2 years. Of which he must pay his own travel fees and make his own arrangements.

His multi-million dollars don't come until after the fifth year.....if they make the playoffs.

See Spot run. See Hakeem get bounce the ball and get treated like a ****ing 19 year old noob.

Wrong.

Charles Barkley won't allow the boy to live long enough to have the opportunity to take his job.

I'm planning to become a millionaire by the time I'm 19 through my sport of choice: Competitive Milk Drinking.

It's a messy but rewarding sport.

Just sic Godzilla on him.

Roger Smith (former GM Chairman) also died today...he was the subject of Michael Moore's first big film Roger & Me.

wow. i saw that. he was kinda "evel" himself.

Quite so.

I live very near Flint. If you've ever seen Roger & Me - there is no exaggeration as far as what it looks like and the economic situation. It's worse today. And he plays a very large part in that.

I'm sure that there are plenty of people in this area who are glad to see him get what's coming to him.
