Yeah....the sad part is that I'm not saying Spiderman is stupid. I'm just saying that the writers have forgotten the character at his core.

They're hyping him up to something he's not.
 
Well yeah, he's a street level hero. He wasn't made to take on global threats like the Avengers usually do. He was made to prowl NYC city and fight who ever is doing wrong. So he wouldn't be a big important member on the team
 
I totally don't agree with you guys. Yes spidey is a super-popular b-lister.
But he is not that smart??

Well Reed Richards and Tony Stark goes to space goes to N-zone bla bla.
But Peter Parker creates web-fluid with no money funds when he was a teenager.Doesn't that make him at least as smart as Tony and Reed.I am pretty sure it does.

And yes.I agree on the new avengers thing with everyone , i especially loved the way spidey was pictured in "Ronin" arc.Over-talking and not doing the main job :)

First off---I need to laugh at the phrase "money funds". :lol: Trust me...it's funny. :wink:

And it's true---Peter is not that isn't smart. But when you compare him to some of the genius level intelects in the Marvel Universe. He is shown for what he is. A science teacher. IMO...his brilliance is no greater than a computer programmer compared to your average user.

So yeah he's smart.....but not a Tony Stark/Reed Richards genius.

He has above average intelligence and is a science nerd, but nowhere near Reed Richards or Tony Stark.

Issued---please keep in mind that you are entitled to your own opinion. It's just that the facts state that Peter is smart....but he's no genius.
 
So yeah......based on all the titles out there and the current and past storylines. I think this poll should be renamed into "What Spidey Book Doesn't Suck?"

Because right now---they all do. ASM, USM, SSM, SM:heart:MJ, FNSM.....all of them.




They're all so bad that I am petitioning E to shut down all things Spiderman here at UC. E, you've been looking for a reason to shut down the site and burn your comics-----Spidey is the beginning.

You really expect great things from Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane as you would from say Amazing Spider-Man or Ultimate (besides the case of what people think of it now)? It's a kid's book (not trying to offend it). It's something for the little tykes of 12 and 13, not the men of 25 or etc.

its amazing reprinted with less ads and not up to civil war so spidey is masked plus i bought a copy the other week with Man-spider in it!
