What they should have done with darkstar.

It follows the adventures of a boy, whose at first only 10, as he finds an alien device hat allows him to become 10 different aliens. The first season follows him, his cousin Gwen, and his grandfather Max, as they take a summer vacation road trip around America, while fighting different aliens. YOu find out the grandfather is actually part of a galactic peace keeping force known as the plumbers. It ends at the end of summer vacation, and the device that allows him to change is destroyed.
The second part Ben 10 Alien Force happens five years later, when the grandfather has been kidnapped, and the kids go looking for him. He gets a new device, with ten different aliens. This season's story editor is Dwayne McDuffie, and he tells a grand story. This is probably the best season. This is followed by Ben 10: Ultimate Alien, which has the same people behind it, the same type of story arcs, just adding some different flavors to it. And Gwen is hot in a skirt.
Now it's on Ben 10: Omniverse, which happens a year after Ultimate Alien, and he has even now more forms he can transform into. It consists of ten episode story arcs, which are now showing signs of a multiverse type epic going on in the background. Which could be awesome.
The original hooked me cause it's fun, the follow up seasons keep me interested because of the story behind it.
I know nothing about Ben 10 other than that it's a cartoon which has had a few different incarnations. What's the draw? What makes it good?
