Yeah, Marvel's been stealing DC's best ideas for... 50 years now? The nice thing about doing it though is that you can see what works, what doesn't, and put out a more polished product.

So the first three issues were kind of boring. It was just a big battle with the "Red Onslaught."

But apparently

Doom betrayed the heroes

(surprise) and in doing so

Evan grew into a full Apocalypse

. That for me is the most interesting thing that has happened so far.

It's not a bad story, but AXIS' start is bizarre. It feels like the middle to end of a series than the beginning of one.

And yeah- Evan into adult Apocalypse is interesting and now the cover #4 makes sense. I wonder if he'll stay like this after the event is over.

If you haven't been reading Uncanny Avengers, you'll have no clue what's going on. But I don't know, I just found it kind of dull. Three issues of the heroes (and then villains) trying to defeat Red Onslaught while he was being psychicly dampened by various means. And then it was just over and there's a new problem. Although, I'm guessing Red Onslaught will come back.

And yeah- Evan into adult Apocalypse is interesting and now the cover #4 makes sense. I wonder if he'll stay like this after the event is over.

Yeah, I wonder how that will affect the whole war between mutants and humans theme.

What I found out is that he was created by someone named Xemnu. When he first appeared was he what the Hulk turned into when he got mad? Because that's what he is now. (I always thought it was Chuck Norris).

Lol "someone named Xemnu". Xemnu was a Jack Kirby creation. Mainly fights Hulk and the Defenders. He's an alien who does genetic experiments. I'm not meaning to sound condesending or anything, I just re-read his first appearance last night and, for some reason, I've read a TON of Hulk. I think that's the coolest thing about Marvel. You don't NEED to read everything, but if you do it's like a really freaking long soap opera.

Loeb did create him though. He showed up during Loeb's run on the Hulk.

Nope. Jeff Parker took over with Hulk #25.

Really? I thought the composite Hulk story was all Loeb.

Though I do remember reading it, and I did read PArker's Run, so I'm confused.
