Avengers Assemble Animated series.

I've never watched it, been slogging my way through the hundreds of episodes and spin-off comics in the DC Animated universe from the 1990s - 2000s... all for a timeline. ;)

Maybe once I finish up with that. Is it that good?

It has it's problems but I enjoy it. It's definitely made for younger viewers. Sadly the biggest problem is that people keep comparing it to Earth's Mightiest Heroes (just like how USM gets compared to TSSM) instead of taking it as it's own thing. Bottom line is it's fun and if that's what you want then I'd say you get it.

o_O I don't hear it. Yeah there are times when he yells, but it's not all the time.

I disagree. I thought EMH was very slow, boring, filled with mostly horrible voice acting (who was that wanna be Jack Black voicing Tony anyway?), and the animation style very basic and lacking. I find this MUCH more interesting and enjoyable.

Your wit has won me over.

I especially love the episode that had Falcon's Mom visiting Avenger's Tower, and you find out Falcon is actually a minor and his Mom didn't even know he was an Avenger!

That was some excellent writing there.

Different strokes for different folks. It's an odd change, but whatever, it's not my story.

Do you have to have special privileges to create a timeline?

I've thought about making a "Marvel Animated Universe" timeline: WatXM, EMH, USM, AA, Hulk, Hulk Vs., Thor: Tales of Asgard, Planet Hulk, and the Marvel Universe comics.

I know there are quite a few contradictions, but I would that hold that against it. I would probably explain them in a note. (For example: Falcon in Earth's Mightiest Heroes was never referred to as "Sam" or "Samuel Wilson"; it could be a different guy.)

Nope, but, and you probably already know this, only Avengers Assemble, Ultimate Spider-Man, and Hulk and the Agents of SMASH are in the same universe. Planet Hulk especially wouldn't work since the season finale had them on Sakaar and it didn't seem like Hulk had been there before. I've always wanted someone to try and make a timeline for the three shows though so good luck!

Well I'm still convinced EMH and WatXM share the same universe with them. Not just because I want them to, but because I know they truly are if you squint.

Avengers Mansion, mentioning of Galactus' return to Earth, the Molecule Man flashback, the fact that Marvel wants these shows in the same world but doesn't want to limit creative freedom; leading to some contradictions.

I might as well explain the deal with Luke Cage and Iron Fist. The two SHIELD trainees are the former Heroes for Hire from EMH. They're the same if you compare the bulky art style of EMH to their realistic body structure in USM via Killer Croc in Batman: The Animated Series season one compared to his look in later seasons. Different art style, different appearance, same guy.

I'm not even going to question Heimdall's race change because it's not totally unbelievable in the realm of magic. We can assume Surtur was defeated between EMH and AA. Just because they didn't show it yet doesn't mean we wont ever get closure.

That's pretty much all the major wobbles. No different than how the DCAU or other fictional universes have changed things around.

EDIT: I forgot to mention Planet Hulk.

Well, you remember when Blastaar said Skaar came from time and space? It was even announced that they're still not done with the Planet Hulk arc for season two, meaning there's still a possibility we don't know everything about Skaar yet.

If I need to, I'll wait a year to see what comes out of Marvel Animation (new seasons and DTV movies) before connecting the dots/timeline.

I think Steve Wacker would disagree but more power to you.

EDIT: You're forgetting Captain America. In EMH he was meeting Spider-Man for the first time and then in Ultimate Spider-Man he was meeting Spider-Man for the first time.

I don't know if he would be against it. Was there any indication that he wanted them separate?

Did Cap say it was the first time he met him in the "Not a Toy" episode? If we're going by Spider-Man's eagerness to see him, I think anyone in his position would be excited to see Captain America regardless if they've seen each other before.

Just his Tumblr responses makes it seem like he disagrees is all.

I'd have to re-watch it. It certainly felt like they were meeting for the first time.
