It's only a few weeks away and they are already airing promos.

They 1 hour preview is on May 26.

So has it been confirmed if this is an all new show or does it tie-in/continue from Avengers: EMH? Just wondering as I liked the Yost-verse cartoons and movies.

I really want to know this too. Has there been any confirmation?

I have no earthly idea. But i'm guessing either no or only in broad strokes.

So Hulk in this show is just repeating what Hulk said and did in the movie.

It's only a nod. Though it does seems HYDRA will have the uniform from the First Avenger.

Awww, turds.

That's disappointing.

We'll have to watch to find out for sure. They did say that team disbanded prior to AA and the first episode has them getting the band back together.

Well that's encouraging then. I really hope it's a continuation of the Yost-verse, Marvel needs their own version of DC's extremely long running animated universe (it could be argued the 90's X-Men, Spider-Man, and other Marvel cartoons fit this bill, but quality wise the Yost-verse is much better, IMO).

Once I could almost get past the horrible animation it wasn't absolutely terrible. But really...it was not good.

The animation was far too simplistic to compete with other animated shows today. If the animation was on par with, or at least comparable to say Korra or FMA: Brotherhood, then I wouldn't have had many issues. Instead it they used still backgrounds with few moving objects ( the scene with the quinjet flying over the water is horrendously animated for example). I understand that the show is strictly aimed at children, but it could have been much, much better.

A little vague. But I think it might be the same universe...

"We never wanted to disregard the Earth's Mightiest Heroes work," Lane says. "We all liked that show. This doesn't come off as a reboot. It's not the characters meeting each other for the first time. These are characters who definitely have a history. We wanted you to get a sense that a little time had passed, and now we're picking up X amount of time later."

Too see the entire interview with Quesada, as long as a couple clips, go to http://www.newsarama.com/17903-quesada-more-talk-avengers-assemble-animated-series-live.html

Interesting, but he doesn't come right out and say it does exist in the same 'verse. Sounds like they're trying to have it both ways by keeping it vague.

So I finally saw this.

Eh.

I hated the way it kept going from wide screen to full screen.

I thought the plot was simplistic, but then they went and killed Iron Man, so that's different.

Cap's costume was horrendous.

Been going through the episodes again with my friend who is seeing it for the first time. We're both really enjoying it. Some thoughts.

The Avengers Protocol Parts 1 and 2 - I really enjoyed this premiere. It had a lot of laughs and really good action. Starting the episode off by "killing" Cap was genius and the JJJ cameo had me laughing really hard. Really happy with the villains they've chosen for the Cabal (DRACULA! :D). Overall it was pretty solid and a good opening to the series.

Ghost of a Chance - My jaw dropped when I learned who the bad guys were. I know they were in The Super Hero Squad Show (I miss that show so badly D:) but seeing them used again was awesome. Especially considering how little they're used in the comics (they've only been in a handful of issues). The ending also reminded me of Pacific Rim (the whole portal thing) so that was cool.

More coming later. Gonna go take a nap.
