Going a little ways back here...Can someone tell me what happened in Week 49? I get my comics every few weeks so I was picking up the last few issues of 52, but they didn't have #49 for some reason. Did I miss anything important?

So, #52 - is it me, or was this really, really, bad. The 'revelation' of 52 Earths - wasn't that revealed a couple of months back? Wasn't that part of Infinite Crisis' climax? And the last issue - it was just technobabble for twnety pages. It didn't make much sense at all. Lots of backpeddling. What annoys me is for 52 issues we've been told about how it's all plotted out and set up - and then the last issue is just a huge exposition-fest to set up the 'new' DC. Shouldn't the exposition have been done before? Isn't that the point of setting up and plotting out a series?
Or maybe I'm jaded. I just thought that this is what people have been talking about for a year, and I found it to be complete balls. Sorry. :?

Well, I liked it. I thought it wrapped up the series nicely and I'm happy to see many Earths, though I seriously doubt they've mapped out all 52 of them (though I wouldn't put it past Morrison to do so). I hate that my beloved Wildstorm is one of the Earths though.

I think it was a pretty nice way to reintroduce the Multiverse, but having only 52 universes is kind of stupid... I mean look at the first Crisis, it was crisis on INFINITE EARTHS.
Is Countdown counting down to "Crisis on 52 Earths"?
The other thing thats got me thinking...
Earth 3 - Crime Syndicate...
Antimatter Universe Earth - Crime Syndicate...
Are both Syndicates in existence, or has the pre-crises version superceded the other?

I'd say we have two Crime Syndicates, but until we visit the anti-matter universe we won't officially know. Maybe in the upcoming Sinestro Corp semi-event since Qward is in the same universe.
I personaly like Earth-10 and its Nazi Green Lantern.
