I could give you 5 reasons why this'll be better than Sin City....but the trailer says it all.



This movie isn't even out and it's already one of my most favorite films ever.

I read 300 and wasn't really interested in it.

The second trailer is out---so this is how Cartman felt while waiting for the Wii. :shock:

I saw this yesterday - I didn't remember there was a thread for it.

I mean, yeah. This looks incredible. I can't wait to see it, and I think that traier even piqued my wife's interest.

I didn't know they were going for a comic-book look like Sin City. But this looks JUST like the comic. Awesomeness.

I can't believe they're making us wait until March 9th. That is far too long.

Also, now I'm going to be disappointed if you don't show up to this thing dressed as a Spartan.

I'm a little freaked out by just how much these people look like Frank Miller drawings. I mean his art doesn't even look like people sometimes.

Indeed. I've been watching the trailers again and again....and the visual work here is just amazing. Moreso than SinCity. I mean these literally look like they were ripped outta the pages of his book.

The funny thing is that this movie seems so good that I think it could actually get an Oscar nomination.

On the one hand my dad and I want to see this opening day.....on the other we'd like to save the money and just buy it when it comes out because we'll obviously want to either way.

Chances are we'll cave and see it opening day. It's clearly a big-screen movie.

Me too. Meh.

I don't believe Frank Miller is over-rated so much as over-worshipped. I objectively believe he's a talented creator and a remarkable craftsman. He's just incapable of writing about any subject matter in any way that fundamentally interests me.

And in that sense, I don't think being a genius has anything to do with making a fan out of someone, nor does not being a fan necessarily mean that the creator in question is a bad one.

I'm still so hyped to see this. I just found out that the IMAX theater here is getting 300. So I know where I'll be seeing it at. :rockon:
